The Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William made a grand entrance at the Top Gun, Maverick premiere in London on Thursday night.
Kate, looking absolutely radiant, wore an off-the-shoulder Roland Maverick column gown, complemented by an Alexander McQueen clutch worth £2,300 and Robinson Pelham diamond star earrings worth £10,500.
Meanwhile, Prince William showcased his sartorial flair in a midnight blue Alexander McQueen velvet dinner jacket, tuxedo trousers, and velvet slippers embroidered with miniature fighter jets, paying homage to the film.
The royal couple joined Hollywood leading man Tom Cruise and his co-stars Jennifer Connelly and Miles Teller at the Glitzy Gala screening in London’s Leicester Square.
As A-listers and British TV royalty descended upon the red carpet, Cruise garnered praise from royal fans for his chivalry towards Kate.
The 59-year-old actor extended his hand to the Duchess as she gracefully navigated a set of stairs.
Cruise, who escorted the Duke and Duchess down the red carpet, introduced them to his co-stars, including Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, and Miles Teller.
Kate, stunning in her Roland Marat column dress and black heels, reached out to take Cruise’s hand for extra support.
The pair seemed to hit it off, with Kate flashing a megawatt smile as they engaged in conversation before the premiere.
Cruise, who recently participated in the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations, expressed his admiration for the Duke of Cambridge, stating, “We have a lot in common.
We both love England, we’re both aviators, we both love flying.”
For the occasion, the Duchess opted for a figure-flattering black and white gown from the Roland Marat archives.
She accessorized the sleek monochrome dress with a black Alexander McQueen clutch and classic pointe-toe heels.
Completing her ensemble were the breathtaking £10,500 Star Star earrings by British jewellery designer Robinson Pellon.
Kate wore her brunette locks in a sleek parting and chose dramatic dark eye makeup and a slick of pink lipstick to complete her glamorous look.
During the event, William and Kate had the opportunity to meet two children who revealed that their own children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, were disappointed to miss the glitzy screening.
Alfie Everett Fletcher, 9, shared his conversation with William, saying, “He asked me what I liked about the last one, the things I like, if I like jets and planes and motorbikes.”
Alfie mentioned that William expressed his own love for the film and cars.
Poppy Saunders, 11, also had a chance to meet Kate and presented her with a bouquet of flowers outside the auditorium, although she admitted to being quite nervous.
The Top Gun, Maverick premiere was a star-studded affair, with the Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William adding their regal charm to the event.
Their presence, along with that of Tom Cruise and other A-list celebrities, made for an unforgettable night at London’s Leicester Square.
