The Duchess of Cambridge made a striking appearance at the Earthshot reception at Cop 26 in Glasgow, as she traded her muddy outdoor attire for an exquisite Epo 9 coat dress.
Catherine looked absolutely stunning in the coat dress, paired with navy heels, as she walked alongside Prince William, who was dressed in a dapper suit.
The royal couple arrived at the Clydeside Distillery, just hours after the Duchess had gotten her hands dirty, participating in an activity where she threw mud to re-wheel seats with scouts in the Scottish city.
With her hair elegantly styled in a low bun, the Duchess opted for a glamorous makeup look for the ceremony.
The event was attended by Prince Charles, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, Boris Johnson, and other world leaders such as Joe Biden, Angela Merkel, and Justin Trudeau.
Key members of the Sustainable Markets Initiative, as well as the winners and finalists of the first Earthshot Prize Awards, were also present.
The Duchess wore a custom dress from Epo 9’s SS20 collection, crafted from a double wool crepe fabric.
Although the price is available on application, similar items from the collection are estimated to cost around £2,400.
While it is believed that the Duchess has not worn this dress in public before, it is likely that it is not new, as the collection itself is already 18 months old.
To add a touch of glamour, the Duchess adorned herself with dazzling diamond earrings and a poppy badge, in honor of Remembrance Sunday.
She completed her outfit with her favorite £425 heels from fellow British designer Rupert Sanderson.
The Duchess has been spotted wearing the Mallory Pumps on numerous occasions, including the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey in 2017 and a dinner with the Obamas at Kensington Palace in 2016.
After the ceremony, the royal couple took to Instagram to express their delight.
They wrote, “Fantastic to finally meet the Earthshot Prize finalists in person at COP26 UK.
This week at COP, we will showcase their incredible innovations to repair our planet.”
The finalists of the Hush Earthshot Prize also had the opportunity to meet members of the prize’s global alliance, which includes some of the world’s largest corporations, philanthropists, and not-for-profits.
These organizations are committed to providing unparalleled support to the prize finalists, helping them scale their solutions.
During the reception, guests were inspired by a video message from Queen Elizabeth II, who issued a powerful rallying cry to world leaders attending COP26.
