The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, made her return to royal duties on Wednesday as she visited RAF Bryce Norton in Oxfordshire.
The personnel at the base played a crucial role in the recent evacuation efforts in Afghanistan.
During her visit, Kate shared an interesting detail about her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis – they all share their father’s passion for aircraft.
After touring a RAF C-17 Globemaster plane, Kate had a conversation with Lord Master Sergeant Mark Curtis, who later revealed to People magazine that the Duchess mentioned her children’s keen interest in aircraft.
It’s no wonder, considering Prince William’s past experience as an RAF search and rescue pilot for the East Anglian Air Ambulance from 2015 to 2017, when George and Charlotte were younger.
Prince George, now eight years old, has already shown his love for aircraft on multiple occasions.
At the age of two, he attended the Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford in 2016.
The young prince also appeared thrilled during the Cambridge family’s tour of Germany and Poland in 2017 when he was given a tour of a helicopter in Hamburg.
Back in 2016, Kate Middleton herself revealed George’s fascination with planes during an engagement marking the 75th anniversary of the Air Training Corps.
She mentioned that George was obsessed with planes and expressed his desire to become an air cadet.
