The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge took a trip down memory lane during a recent visit to the coastal town of Anstruther.
After a busy day of royal engagements, Prince William and Kate decided to indulge in a takeaway fish supper from their favorite chippy.
The couple made their way to the renowned Anstruther Fish Bar, a place they frequented as students at St Andrews University twenty years ago.
Opting for a classic choice, William and Kate ordered a £7.95 haddock supper, which was expertly wrapped in paper.
They then found a bench on the pier, where they savored their meal.
The nostalgic experience didn’t end there, as the couple also treated themselves to ice creams.
William opted for a cup while Kate enjoyed hers in a cone.
During their time at the fish bar, they engaged in friendly conversations with the staff, reminiscing about their university days.
This visit held special significance for the Duke and Duchess, as it revolved around their alma mater.
Arriving in St Andrews the previous night, the couple had the opportunity to enjoy a private date night at Forgan’s Restaurant.
Seated in a secluded corner table, they relished the chance to spend quality time together before their busy day ahead.
Rather than staying at the Queen’s Edinburgh residence of Holyrood House, the Cambridges chose to stay locally.
This decision allowed them to partake in an exhilarating morning of land yacht racing on a St Andrews beach.
Following this exciting activity, they met with students and explored the university grounds.
Their journey then took them to the charming coastal village of Pittenweem, where they met with local fishermen and their families.
After concluding their official engagements, the couple made their way to Anstruther, a mere four minutes’ drive away.
Indulging in their beloved fish and chips, they were soon met by a Royal Helicopter that landed in the Children’s Park.
