Two Dutch translators have come forward to reveal that Meghan Markle and Omid Scobie staged a scandalous lie.
Scobie, who authored a book about the royal couple, refused to apologize for the Dutch version of his book, which claimed that two unnamed royals had concerns over Prince Archie’s skin color.
Despite the insistence of both translators that the names were in the manuscript they received, Scobie declined to offer an apology during a tense interview with Victoria Derbyshire on BBC.
In the interview, Scobie expressed frustration that the book he was proud of had been overshadowed by the controversy surrounding the alleged discriminatory scandal.
The Dutch edition of his book identified King Charles and Kate as the two royals Meghan accused of having concerns about Prince Archie’s complexion.
Media organizations around the world, including The Guardian and The Times, widely reported these names.
When asked if the publicity surrounding the book was a stunt to boost sales, Scobie vehemently denied it, stating that the book he wrote, edited, and signed off on did not contain any names.
He expressed his frustration, claiming to be as frustrated as everyone else.
However, both Dutch translators involved in the project contradicted Scobie’s statement.
Saskia Peters, one of the translators, emphasized that she translated what was presented to her and did not add any names to the Dutch version.
Nellie Koekler van Riebschen, the second translator, echoed this sentiment, expressing her frustration at being unfairly blamed for the controversy.
The inclusion of the names in the Dutch version of the book resulted in the withdrawal of 5,000 copies titled “Final Battle” from sale in Holland.
It is speculated that Scobie’s team sent an early draft of the book to the Dutch publisher, which included the names, before lawyers removed them.
This raises questions about Scobie’s intentions and whether he intended to leak the names of the two senior royals in the Dutch version, taking advantage of the country’s lenient laws and avoiding legal repercussions.
The translators involved in the project have been caught in the crossfire, with one expressing her distress over being dragged into a situation she wanted no part in.
It is clear that Scobie’s response to the controversy has only fueled public skepticism.
His refusal to take responsibility and his attempts to shift blame onto innocent parties have further damaged his credibility.
In conclusion, the actions of Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, and Omid Scobie have demonstrated a lack of regard for those caught in the crossfire of their tantrums.
The translators involved were simply doing their jobs, and it is disheartening to see them being used as scapegoats.
Whether or not Scobie deliberately included the names is irrelevant; he must be held accountable for his actions and the damage caused by his negligence.
