The three youngsters enthusiastically embraced the spirit of the show, taking turns in the glitzy judges’ seats and even delivering verdicts with scoring paddles for dancers Katya Jones and Neil Jones.

They also had the opportunity to meet the show’s hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, as well as mingle with professional dancers Diane Boswell and Nadiya Bychkova.

During their two-hour visit, the princess and her children were given a tour of the costume department.

Prince Louis even had the chance to try on a small gold crown while standing on the balcony where the contestants gather above the dance floor.

This high-profile visit resulted in a strict security lockdown on set, with a ban on photography.

It is no secret that key members of the royal family are avid fans of Strictly Come Dancing.

According to a source, both Catherine and Charlotte are huge fans of the show and were delighted to be invited.
