Princess Catherine, alongside her children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, had an exhilarating day out at the Strictly Come Dancing studios.
The royal family enjoyed a behind-the-scenes sneak peek of the upcoming musical week.
The three youngsters enthusiastically embraced the spirit of the show, taking turns in the glitzy judges’ seats and even delivering verdicts with scoring paddles for dancers Katya Jones and Neil Jones.
They also had the opportunity to meet the show’s hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, as well as mingle with professional dancers Diane Boswell and Nadiya Bychkova.
During their two-hour visit, the princess and her children were given a tour of the costume department.
Prince Louis even had the chance to try on a small gold crown while standing on the balcony where the contestants gather above the dance floor.
This high-profile visit resulted in a strict security lockdown on set, with a ban on photography.
It is no secret that key members of the royal family are avid fans of Strictly Come Dancing.
According to a source, both Catherine and Charlotte are huge fans of the show and were delighted to be invited.
Catherine, being an enthusiastic supporter, took pictures of her children in the judges’ seats.
She appeared relaxed, wearing a smile throughout the outing, and exhibited polite, sweet, and charming behavior towards everyone.
She ensured that Prince Louis did not get overexcited.
This is not the first time the royal family has expressed their love for Strictly Come Dancing.
Back in 2019, Prince William revealed that his wife and mother-in-law, Carol Middleton, are also huge fans of the dancing competition.
Prince William shared this information during a charity gala while speaking to Strictly judge Shirley Ballas and host Claudia Winkleman.
Additionally, Zara and Mike Tyndall, a down-to-earth couple, have expressed their love for the show.
In fact, Zara even danced with Anton Dubik at a celebrity charity evening in 2017.
The love for Strictly Come Dancing extends beyond the immediate royal family.
King Charles and Queen Camilla, as well as the late queen, were also enthusiastic viewers of the show.
Camilla met 2021 Strictly champ Rose Ayling Ellis on the set of EastEnders last year and revealed that she had voted for her.
In 2016, Camilla herself participated in the Strictly Christmas special, dancing alongside judge Craig Lavelle Horwood, pro Brendan Cole, and royal photographer Arthur Edwards at Buckingham Palace.
In 2020, during the challenging year of the pandemic, Camilla recorded two messages for the final, expressing her gratitude and acknowledging the show’s ability to lift the spirits of the entire nation.
Recently, Princess Catherine and Prince William attended the Royal Variety Performance, showcasing their finest attire.
They were joined by Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden, who also looked stunning as they arrived at London’s Royal Albert Hall for the star-studded event.
Princess Catherine paid tribute to the Swedish flag with her teal evening gown by Sofia, featuring sweeping, dramatic split sleeves.
She accessorized with statement jewelry and styled her hair in a bouncy blow-dry, framing her face with a fringe.
Crown Princess Victoria turned heads in a black, feathered, off-the-shoulder gown by Swedish label Tata Mae.
She complemented her look with gold chunky jewelry and wore her glossy brunette locks in her signature sleek bun, adding an extra touch of glamour.
Both Prince William and Prince Daniel looked dapper in tuxedos and bow ties for this special occasion.
