Prince Harry, in his bid to distance himself from the toxic media that led to his departure from the royal family, has joined forces with a group of billionaires who are set to make their mark in the local newspaper industry.
The coalition, known as Press Forward, has secured funding from the Prince’s Archewel Foundation, as well as 21 other contributors, with the aim of providing financial support to struggling local newsrooms across America.
With an initial commitment of $500 million, they aspire to raise a staggering one billion dollars within the next five years.
While their mission is to strengthen communities and uphold democracy, doubts have been raised about Harry’s true intentions, given his well-known disdain for journalists and his association with individuals like Pierre Omidier, who has a history of supporting censorious non-profit organizations.
This has cast doubt on the coalition’s claim of being non-partisan.
Moreover, concerns have been raised by the other 21 donors regarding Harry’s level of commitment to contributing funds.
The Prince asserts that he will be utilizing the funds from Archewel for this purpose, but there is a discrepancy with the original intent of the donors.
This discrepancy could potentially lead to legal action against Archewel, as the remaining $10 million in the account does not align with the donors’ expectations.
