One individual who appeared on the show, Lauren Camelo, a former employee of the Sussexes and Archie’s former nanny, has now spoken out about her experience working with the Royal couple.

Camelo, a professional nanny from Zimbabwe, was hired by Meghan and Harry in 2018 to assist with the care of their firstborn.

Camelo shared that upon her arrival, she was greeted with a big hug from Prince Harry himself, despite any concerns about protocol or formality.

Prior to the interview, Camelo had pondered how best to present herself to the Royals.

She wondered about the attire typically worn by nannies and deliberated over whether to wear heels.

She mentioned that Prince William’s children have a Norland nanny who wears a distinctive brown uniform, but she felt it wouldn’t suit her complexion.

Ultimately, she decided to dress in something dark and wear nice heels to appear presentable.

However, she purposely refrained from wearing makeup, wanting to be accepted as she truly is.

As Camelo drove to Frogmore Cottage for the job interview, she admitted feeling nervous and driving too fast, which resulted in her receiving a speeding ticket.

She described her mixed emotions, feeling excited yet thinking it all seemed like a movie.

However, meeting Prince Harry helped ease her nerves, as he appeared more down-to-earth than she had imagined.

She recalled his casual attire of jeans and a t-shirt, walking barefoot due to the heat.

Camelo even sought guidance from a protection officer about whether she should curtsy upon meeting him, to which he simply laughed and assured her that Prince Harry is an amazing person.

When she finally encountered him, he warmly embraced her, leaving her in awe of his kindness and charm.

Camelo also shared her impressions of Meghan Markle, describing her as a stunning woman.

The former nanny’s account of the meeting paints a picture of a relaxed and genuine interaction between the couple and herself, dispelling any preconceived notions of formality or distance.
