King Charles has made it clear that he has no intention of inviting Prince Harry and Meghan to the royal family’s gathering at Balmoral Castle this summer.
The Sussexes will not be joining the rest of the royals when they travel to their Scottish residence in mid-August.
According to reports, Prince Andrew and his wife Sarah Ferguson will be present alongside King Charles and Queen Camilla at Balmoral Castle.
Royal Correspondent Richard Palmer expressed doubt that Prince Harry and Meghan would receive an invitation to the castle, especially considering that the Duke last visited after the passing of his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth.
It appears that Harry was not allowed by his father to bring Meghan to Balmoral following the Queen’s death.
This fact was also mentioned in Harry’s tell-all book released earlier this year.
The upcoming reunion at Balmoral is expected to be interesting since there have been indications that the King wants to bring the family together.
However, Richard Palmer believes it would be surprising if Harry and Meghan were included.
Traditionally, the royal family spends their time at Balmoral engaging in group activities such as fishing and shooting on the estate’s grounds.
The estate has been in the possession of the royals since 1852.
In July, the late Queen Elizabeth would typically retreat to this Scottish haven with her family and extend an invitation to the Prime Minister of the time, a tradition that Charles is expected to continue.
The King is anticipated to head to the Aberdeenshire Royal Residence after August 16th, when the estate closes to the public, and remain there throughout September.
In Touch magazine previously reported that Meghan has received a lifetime ban from King Charles, effectively preventing her from ever visiting Balmoral.
Last year, Harry visited Balmoral Castle following his grandmother’s passing, but Meghan, his wife of five years, was not invited.
In his memoir, Harry disclosed that his father explicitly instructed him not to bring Meghan to visit the Queen during her final days, citing nonsensical and disrespectful reasons.
At the time, Harry and Meghan were in London to attend the Wellchild Awards ceremony when the Queen’s health deteriorated at her Scottish residence.
Shortly after Buckingham Palace announced the Queen’s illness at 1:55 pm on September 8th, a spokesperson confirmed that the couple would travel together to Balmoral.
However, just a few hours later, at 4:39 pm, a clarification was issued stating that the Duke would be traveling alone.
Harry flew to Scotland via private jet and arrived at Balmoral shortly after the Queen’s death was publicly announced.
Harry has now revealed that during this period, he received direct instructions from his father not to bring Meghan.
According to Harry, his father simply did not want the place to be crowded with people, stating that no one’s wife, not even Kate, would be attending, so Meghan shouldn’t either.
Meanwhile, King Charles III and Prince William are reportedly greatly annoyed by the possibility of Prince Harry revealing more details about the royal family’s private life in court.
An insider suggested that the royal family will handle any further revelations made by Prince Harry in court using the same strategy they have employed since his departure.
They stated that there will be no change and that the family will simply not respond to any allegations he might make.
