It’s only January, but the world is already buzzing with lists of Harry and Meghan’s blunders.
This year promises to be quite interesting, isn’t it?
Today, we delve into the gaffes that have defined Harry and Meghan’s journey, particularly since their departure from the royal family.
Morgan Johnson from The Sun has compiled a list of their six most significant blunders, spanning from their visit to Jamaica to the controversial naming of their youngest child, Lilibet.
Creating such a list must have been no easy task, considering the multitude of blunders committed by Harry and Meghan throughout their history.
If I were to make a list of every eye-roll-inducing moment and bewildering decision they’ve made, it would stretch for miles.
However, The Sun managed to narrow it down to six major blunders.
The first blunder on the list takes us back to their visit to Jamaica.
While attending the premiere of the Bob Marley movie “One Love,” Harry and Meghan posed with Jamaican politicians who openly advocated for ending King Charles’s rule.
This cozying up to individuals who oppose Harry’s own father’s reign raised eyebrows and was undoubtedly a blunder.
Another blunder that made the list is the naming of their daughter, Lilibet.
It turns out that the late Queen did not give her permission for the use of her childhood nickname.
What upset the Queen even more was the couple’s false claim that she had indeed granted her blessing.
This act of deception towards Harry’s own grandmother has been described as callous and disrespectful.
Quitting the royal family is also considered one of Harry and Meghan’s major blunders.
While some argue that it may have been a good decision for them personally, the way they went about it lacked propriety.
Traditionally, one seeks the monarch’s permission before making such a significant decision.
However, Harry and Meghan bypassed this protocol and announced their departure on Instagram, disregarding the established norms and hierarchy.
Omid Scobie’s book, “Endgame,” also makes the list of blunders.
The questionable circumstances surrounding the Dutch translation of the book have raised suspicions.
Angela Levin suggests that Meghan was likely involved in a plot to undermine the monarchy, but the full story remains unknown.
Their penchant for private jet travels has also attracted criticism.
Despite positioning themselves as environmental activists, Harry and Meghan frequently choose private jets over commercial flights, leading many to label them as hypocrites.
This inconsistency between their words and actions has not gone unnoticed.
Lastly, Harry’s failure to acknowledge Prince Charles and Catherine in his acceptance speech at an award ceremony has raised eyebrows.
While it would be understandable if Harry and Meghan were keeping a low profile, their public appearances contradict this assumption.
Harry’s omission of his father and sister-in-law in his speech was seen as disrespectful and ungrateful.
Now, it’s your turn to weigh in.
Do you agree with this list of Harry and Meghan’s biggest blunders?
Or are there other blunders you think should be added?
