A shocking revelation has emerged about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Harry and Meghan, as their former nanny has reportedly quit due to unpaid overtime.
Jessica Reid-Kraus, a popular Instagram influencer with a million followers, shared this new tea on her Instagram story.
According to a source close to the situation, the nanny, who was employed from August to October, decided to leave because she was not compensated for the additional hours she worked during that period.
It seems that the couple’s demanding schedule played a significant role in the nanny’s departure.
While Harry and Meghan were away in the UK for several weeks, leaving their children behind in California, they expected the nanny to work around the clock for almost a month without prior notice.
This unreasonable expectation led to criticism from royal watchers on Instagram, with one commenter stating, “Ridiculous.
Not paying someone who lives paycheck to paycheck, I’d quit as well.”
Speculation about the couple’s financial situation also arose, with some suggesting that they are desperate for money, leading to new lawsuits.
Although they are not broke, it seems they are struggling to keep up with their extravagant spending without additional income.
This financial pressure must be immense for Harry, especially considering his brother’s billionaire status and his father’s position as the king-in-waiting.
The criticism continued, with another commenter expressing concern about the lack of stability in the couple’s children’s lives.
They noted that having a new nanny every three months is not ideal, contrasting it with the Wales’ children, who have had the same nanny since Prince George’s birth.
Recently, Archie’s former nanny, Lauren Kumalo from Zimbabwe, spoke about her experience working for the couple in their new Netflix show.
She revealed that when she first met Prince Harry, he was casually walking barefoot outside their home, Frogmore Cottage.
Lauren, who currently works as a neonatal intensive care and pediatric nurse at The Portland, a private maternity hospital in Westminster, described feeling instantly at ease upon meeting Harry.
She recalled, “I’ve got these new shoes from Clark’s, and suddenly whatever I thought or felt the formality just sort of slid.
I felt so at ease.”
The Portland Hospital holds significant meaning for the royal family, as it has been the preferred location for generations of royal births.
Both Prince Harry and Archie were born there.
After Archie’s birth, Meghan’s mother, Doria, stayed at Frogmore Cottage for a month and was present when they brought Archie home from the hospital.
Meghan expressed her gratitude for her mother’s support, saying, “My mum stayed for a month solid, and it was great to have her there.
But we were in a position where we didn’t have someone to help us with Archie.”
Lauren recounted the day she received the call to work for the couple, describing her excitement and even admitting to getting a speeding ticket on her way to Frogmore Cottage.
She emphasized that Harry and Meghan were hands-on parents, often coming in to see baby Archie in the morning and feed him before handing him over to the nanny for a stroll.
While this news sheds light on the challenges faced by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, it also highlights their commitment to being actively involved in their children’s lives.
However, the issue of unpaid overtime raises concerns about fair treatment of their employees.
As the couple continues to navigate their new life away from the royal family, it remains to be seen how they will address these criticisms and strive for a more stable environment for their children.
