Prince William, disguised as a royal, made his debut as the Duke of Cambridge during a visit with US soldiers.
Sporting full camouflage gear, the Prince of Wales joined the soldiers of the Mercian Regiment as they underwent training on Thursday.
This marked William’s first visit with the regiment since he was appointed Colonel-in-Chief by his father, King Charles, in August.
The new title was one of three military appointments that were reshuffled within the royal family following Queen Elizabeth’s passing.
In recent weeks, William and his wife Catherine have been gradually visiting their various new appointments.
Earlier this month, Princess Kate visited the first of the Queen’s Dragoon Guards at their barracks in Derham, Norfolk.
She also donned camouflage attire for the visit after being named the Guard’s Colonel-in-Chief.
Upon arriving at Salisbury Plain on Thursday afternoon, William received a briefing on the regiment’s preparations for an upcoming mission next year.
The 12th Armoured Brigade Combat Team will be deployed to Poland to provide combat engineering, bridge crossing, and air defense services.
In addition to the Mercian Regiment, William was also appointed Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps and Royal Honorary Air Commodore of RAF Valley, where he previously served as a pilot.
However, Prince Harry, William’s younger brother, couldn’t help but feel jealous of his sibling’s military role.
Since stepping back from their royal duties, Harry has been stripped of all his military honors.
Despite no longer being a working royal, he occasionally disguises himself as a member of the royal family during visits to military sites in the United States.
On some occasions, he even wears British medals to showcase his connection to the military.
The timing of William’s visit with the Mercian Regiment has raised speculation about possible PR moves from Harry and Meghan.
A source revealed that the couple is planning to generate media attention over the weekend, including a walkabout in Los Angeles and a sighting of their son Archie dressed as a turkey.
Harry’s meeting with US soldiers, despite having no ties to the US military, has also raised eyebrows.
Meanwhile, reports suggest that the royal family feels Harry and Meghan are likely to betray them.
Former royal butler, Paul Burrell, believes that if King Charles allows them back into the inner circle, they will violate the trust once again.
Burrell emphasizes the royal family’s concerns about airing their dirty laundry in public and making profit from their royal status.
He asserts that once a line is crossed, there is no going back, and Harry needs to understand the consequences of his actions.
In conclusion, Prince William’s debut as the Duke of Cambridge in his new military roles has sparked envy in his younger brother Harry.
As the royal family continues to navigate the aftermath of Megxit, tensions rise regarding Harry and Meghan’s intentions and potential betrayal.
The future remains uncertain as the family strives to maintain their privileged world while ensuring the loyalty and integrity of their own.
