Prince Harry is facing a cold reception from Hollywood as his recent revelations continue to stir controversy.
Rianne Sugden, a former glamour model, has launched a new greeting card business that takes a cheeky jab at the under-fire royal.
Sugden’s smutty cards, which she designed herself, include one featuring a cartoon drawing of Harry with the caption, “my p-nis oscillates between extremely sensitive and borderline traumatized when I think of you.”
Another card features actress Sarah Lancashire from the BBC cop drama Happy Valley, with the caption, “Happy Valley times day on it.”
The third card showcases Jarvis Cocker with the slogan, “I want to sleep with common people like you.”
Sugden plans to sell these risqué cards on her website by the end of the month.
In addition to Sugden’s mockery, a British s** toy company called Love Honey has also taken a swipe at Prince Harry.
The company unveiled a digital billboard featuring an ad that reads, “silence is golden.”
This comes after the prince’s intimate revelations in his recently released memoir sparked a barrage of online memes and jokes at his expense.
The Love Honey ad features a ball gag with the slogan, “silence is golden Harry,” and directs viewers to its website with the phrase, “spare ball gags available.”
Joanne Reiff, Love Honey’s head of s**ual empowerment, explained that while the brand has been a long-time supporter of Harry and Meghan, they felt his memoir went too far, especially with references to his genitalia.
Reiff stated that the playful response was their way of addressing the issue.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have seen a decline in popularity following the release of Harry’s tell-all memoir, Spare.
According to pollsters Redfield and Wilton, the couple’s favorability rating in the US has dropped significantly.
In a December 5th poll of 2,000 US voters, Harry had a favorability rating of plus 38.
However, a poll taken on January 16th revealed that his rating had plummeted to minus 7.
Meghan Markle also experienced a steep decline, with her approval rating dropping from 23 to minus 13.
The New York Times review of Spare reflects the general sentiment, describing the memoir as both emotional and embittered, drawing attention while attempting to renounce fame.
The backlash from Hollywood and the declining popularity in the polls indicate that Prince Harry’s memoir has not been well-received.
Despite his previous support for important issues such as racism, misogyny, and bullying, the explicit nature of his revelations seems to have crossed a line for many.
As he continues to face criticism and mockery, it remains to be seen how this will affect his public image and future endeavors.
