The designer responsible for many of the outfits worn by the children of Princess Catherine and Prince William has expressed deep concerns for the royal couple as they navigate the Princess of Wales’ cancer treatment.
Amaya Arrieta, the talent behind the wardrobe choices of Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis over the years, shared her heartfelt sentiments with The Telegraph, revealing, “I’m heartbroken at the moment.
I think they are going through hell.
I hope they will be back.
It’s really personal,” Arrieta added.
Since Prince George was a baby, Princess Catherine has been dressing her children in garments created by the Spanish-born designer.
Arrieta recalled the moment she first discovered this while out grocery shopping, saying, “The first time I realized Prince George was wearing my designs, I was in Waitrose and saw the picture of him on the cover of Hello!
magazine.”
This revelation marked a significant moment for Arrieta, as she had been designing for them without certainty that they would actually wear her creations.
Collaborating closely with the children’s nanny, Maria Teresa Turrian-Borrello, Arrieta has worked on crafting outfits for special occasions such as Princess Eugenie’s 2018 wedding, birthdays, and the royal family’s annual Christmas Day church outing.
Describing the process, she shared, “It’s often a very tight deadline.
We would do anything for them.
The children always look amazing in the end.”
Princess Charlotte, who recently celebrated her ninth birthday on May 2, was seen wearing a skirt from Amaya London in a photo released for Mother’s Day.
