Prince William recently made a touching return to his royal duties on April 18th, collaborating with Surplus to Supper, a charitable organization dedicated to distributing, organizing, and repackaging surplus food for communities in need.
During this engagement, he took the opportunity to provide an update on Princess Catherine’s ongoing cancer treatment while engaging with the staff of the organization.
While touring the facilities of Surplus to Supper, a volunteer named Rachel Kandappa presented Prince William with two special cards, one intended for King Charles and the other for Princess Catherine.
Witnessing this gesture, William displayed visible emotion and expressed his gratitude by acknowledging, “Thank you, you are very kind.”
In a conversation with the media outlet Express, Kandappa shared her interaction with Prince William, mentioning, “I said take care of her, and he replied, ‘I will.'”
Royal reporter Rebecca English further substantiated these interactions, sharing videos capturing Prince William’s day spent working with Surplus to Supper.
In his public appearance, Prince William assured that he would take care of Princess Catherine, who had recently disclosed her cancer diagnosis.
He graciously accepted get-well-soon cards addressed to the King and Kate, while also participating in the distribution of surplus food packages alongside volunteers from the charity.
This visit to Surplus to Supper marked Prince William’s first official engagement following Princess Catherine’s announcement of her cancer diagnosis on March 22nd.
