Step behind the velvet ropes to witness how the stars are commemorating television’s grandest occasion, although not quite returning to the pre-pandemic extravagance.
Hollywood is once again embracing the party circuit, with a series of events leading up to Monday night’s milestone ceremony.
Netflix, Disney, HBO, Apple, UTA, and other prominent entities are hosting their own celebrations.
Among the revelers, WME Agency stands out as its represented celebrities achieve accolades.
However, reports suggest that Meghan Markle did not receive an invitation to the WME Awards season toast.
On Sunday night, the influential agency took over Soho House West Hollywood for an intimate celebration, honoring all clients and collaborators during this busy period.
The event recognized achievements from various awards shows, including the Golden Globes, Critics’ Choice Awards, and Emmys.
As with any post-show gathering, it’s always delightful to have some winners in attendance, and WME had a handful, thanks to the timing directly after the CCAs.
Notable victors such as Jeremy Alan White, Ian Moss-Bachrach, Kieran Coolen, Robert Downey Jr., Stephen Y., Brie Larson, Tina Fey, Julianne Moore, Tom Holland, Dan Levy, Adiri Rachel Sennett, Emma Saligman, Cami Marrone, Jason Segel, Gail Garcia Bernal, Diego Luna, Charles Moulton, and Cry Russell were present.
The company side was well-represented too, with Endeavor executive chairman Patrick Whitelaw, WME scripted TV co-heads Aaron Junon and Tom Wellington, WME talent co-heads Doug Led and Andrew Dunlop, WME motion picture co-head Roger Green, and the Stone Chief Experience officer of Soho House all in attendance.
But that’s not all.
Robert P. Sun, Bob Ender, Aziz Ansari, Selena Song, Mattity Mahone, Simona Tabasco, Matthew Rhys, Lionel Boyce, and Lee Sun Jin also raised a toast to the season.
An insider revealed that Meghan Markle might be feeling humiliated as she is the only person in the company who hasn’t achieved any awards or recognition.
The Golden Globes, Critics’ Choice Awards, and Emmys have all seemingly blacklisted her, despite her purchasing the Aviation Award for Harry, as WME does not represent him.
Thus, Meghan had no reason to attend the agency’s reception.
In fact, it seems that leaders, staff, and celebrities have almost forgotten about her.
However, it’s not as if no one mentioned her at the party, as that would have created an uncomfortable atmosphere.
According to sources, Meghan’s talent team at agency William Morrison DEA, with whom she signed earlier this year, is appalled and frustrated by the never-ending scandal that continues to unfold.
This situation threatens to derail the California-based couple’s future plans.
Ari Emanuel and WME hold significant clout in Hollywood, although not on the same level as CAA.
The fact that Meghan was not even nominated speaks volumes, because for others, not receiving a nod is usually due to an abundance of talent competing for limited spots.
However, for the Sussexes, it is a clear rejection, even with WME involved.
People in Hollywood despise them so much that they were not nominated.
The couple is universally disliked.
If WME still cared about Meghan, they would have secured her an invitation to the awards.
What better way to network than at one of the biggest nights in the industry?
WME could have easily arranged for her to attend events like the Golden Globes or accompanied her themselves.
