Royal expert Angela Levin has raised concerns that the upcoming 10th-anniversary celebrations of the Invictus Games may be overshadowed by the presence of the Duchess of Sussex.
Despite the Duke of Sussex making multiple return trips to the United Kingdom since relinquishing royal duties, his wife has not set foot in the country since 2022.
However, there are whispers that the couple might soon make an unconventional journey across the Atlantic to mark the first anniversary of the annual athletic event initiated by the Duke in 2014.
While the Duchess has shown interest in attending, Levin fears she might steal the limelight.
During an interview with GBN America, Levin expressed her apprehensions about the Duchess of Sussex’s potential dominance at the Invictus Games festivities.
She emphasized the need to prevent her from overshadowing the event, stating, “I really think the Duke of Sussex is outside the door when it comes to who is in the spotlight.”
Levin highlighted concerns over the Duchess’s alleged lack of understanding of military matters and strategies, suggesting that her involvement could detract from the Duke’s role and reputation.
Levin further speculated on the challenges the royal family might face if the Invictus Games were to be hosted in the United Kingdom in 2027.
She conveyed her doubts about the Duke of Sussex’s enthusiasm for such a prospect, cautioning that it could potentially create turmoil within the British royal household.
Referring to the Duchess of Sussex’s demeanor, Levin remarked on her perceived sense of self-importance and global fame, hinting at possible tensions within the family dynamics.
GBN host Nana Akua weighed in on the situation, suggesting that the Invictus Games in Birmingham could serve as a platform for reconciliation and unity within the royal family.
Akua hinted at the possibility of meaningful conversations taking place during the event, fostering dialogue and understanding among the various members.
The potential for the games to bridge divides and mend relationships was underscored as a hopeful outcome by Akua.
In her remarks to GBN America, Levin hinted at financial challenges facing the Sussexes in organizing the athletic event.
She alluded to a lack of sufficient funds for the endeavor, hinting at potential struggles in securing necessary resources.
Reflecting on the initial optimism surrounding the Duchess of Sussex’s entry into the royal family, Levin noted a shift in dynamics and a decline in support, attributing it to the Duchess’s perceived shortcomings and inability to live up to expectations.
Levin’s comments also touched upon public perceptions of the Duchess of Sussex’s entrepreneurial ventures, particularly her new website.
Levin suggested that potential investors were hesitant due to doubts about the Duchess’s capabilities and track record.
The limited progress on her website and concerns about the quality of products being offered have contributed to skepticism among prospective buyers.
The reluctance to engage with the Duchess’s business ventures reflects broader uncertainties about her suitability and reliability in commercial endeavors.
