Jennifer Garner recently visited Perry County, Kentucky, more than a year after the devastating historic flooding that left the town in ruins.
However, Meghan Markle and Archwell have made a cunning move to steal Garner’s well-deserved credit for her efforts.
Governor Andy Beshear described the flood as one of the worst and most devastating events in Kentucky’s history, causing immense damage, including the destruction of Robinson Elementary School.
During her heartfelt visit, which was covered by the Today show, Garner, who hails from West Virginia, expressed her deep sympathy for the affected students and the loss of their school library.
She attributed her own personal growth to the library and stated, “It just takes your breath away.”
The actress, who has been involved with Save the Children since 2014, reflected on the impact of the flood on the students and teachers.
Over 500 children from Robinson Elementary and a nearby school are now sharing a single building, with many families having lost their homes during the floods.
Garner spent time with these resilient students and was moved by their stories.
She shared, “The kids wanted me to know how scary it was, what it was like to lose their school, what it was like to lose their homes, where their family went.”
During her visit, Garner surprised the students and teachers with a generous gift of over $500 from Scholastic.
Additionally, she pledged to donate 5,000 books to both schools’ future libraries once they are rebuilt.
In a surprising turn of events, Archwell reached out to Jennifer Garner’s charity team expressing a desire to partner with Save the Children, similar to their partnership with World Central Kitchen.
By announcing their collaboration and crediting the Sussexes for their contributions, Archwell aims to create the perception that Meghan and Harry played a significant role in the charitable work.
This strategy has been employed by the couple for years.
However, Jennifer Garner has previously expressed gratitude to Meghan for participating in her Save with Stories initiative on Instagram.
Although Meghan allowed the initiative to use photos and videos of her and Archie for social media posts, she has never made any monetary donations to the organization.
Therefore, it is uncertain whether Archwell will succeed in this new cooperation, as Jennifer Garner is more than capable of carrying out her charitable work independently.
It is worth noting that the only charity work the Sussexes seem to engage in is self-promotion to generate funds for their own foundation.
They have been accused of diverting 95% of the income into their own accounts.
Despite this, they have not been seen actively involved in charitable activities or taking meetings in Los Angeles and San Francisco.
Harry has a startup, but there is little evidence of his involvement in its operations.
Their lack of engagement with prominent mental health associations and popular mental health apps such as Calm, Headspace, and BetterHelp raises questions about their commitment to making a meaningful impact.
If they continue down this path, their brand may suffer, especially considering the potential IRS issues that could arise.
It remains unclear how they will handle a traditional 9-to-5 job.
The raw titles associated with their names hold little significance in the United States, and without tangible actions, their credibility may be called into question.
