Former BBC Royal correspondent, Michael Cole, has warned that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could face a Hollywood freeze-out as executives in the industry refuse to work with them.
In an exclusive interview, Cole stated that Americans have grown weary of the couple due to their constant negativity.
Over the past year, they have managed to alienate themselves from the US public and powerful media companies, further driving a wedge between themselves and the Royal family.
These comments come in the wake of recent opinion polls that show Prince William and Princess Kate to be far more popular on both sides of the Atlantic.
Additionally, Harry and Meghan were named among Hollywood’s biggest losers of 2023 by The Hollywood Reporter, a widely respected industry bible.
The publication criticized them for their Netflix documentary series, Harry’s whiny biography, and their lackluster podcast archetypes.
This led to their firing by Spotify and being branded as grifters by one of the audio giant’s bosses.
American singer-songwriter and actor, Joshua Winslow Groban, expressed his opinion that Meghan and Prince Harry are too toxic for Los Angeles.
He stated that while most of LA is toxic, it is well hidden.
Groban believes that their insecurities are on full display in an inauthentic manner, fooling no one.
Even George and Bloomberg, a billionaire socialite, shared similar sentiments, stating that his mother would disapprove of doing business with the couple.
Meghan herself admitted that the Sussexes are not part of high society or upcoming society, but rather “tainted society” after being kicked out.
According to PR guru and crisis management specialist Mark Bukowski, the entertainment industry is attracted to success and financial gains, not failures.
He compared the couple to turkeys, stating that they are only acceptable for Thanksgiving.
There is speculation that the industry is growing weary of their presence, and Bukowski predicted that 2024 could be a seismic year for them.
He believes they will either recover and find a new positive tactic or face the undoing of their brand.
The ongoing scrutiny surrounding the Sussexes is seen as a black hole in Tinseltown, where negativity is not embraced.
It remains to be seen how Meghan and Harry will navigate this challenging situation.
Will they be able to turn things around and regain favor in Hollywood, or will their negative reputation continue to hinder their progress?
Only time will tell, but one thing is clear: their current approach is not working, and a significant shift may be necessary for their future success.
