Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, has been recognized for her long-standing commitment to the royal family with a special honor bestowed upon her by Queen Elizabeth II.
This prestigious award is typically reserved for female members of the firm who have demonstrated unwavering dedication over the years.
Kate’s respected role within the family, coupled with her recent increased responsibilities, has allowed the Queen to take a step back.
In a recent interview with royally US hosts, Joe Majesty, the managing editor of Majesty magazine, discussed the evolving nature of the modern royal family.
“The modern royal family has to evolve, it has to keep changing to be relevant,” he emphasized.
When asked about the Queen’s perception of Kate throughout the years, Joe expressed his belief that Her Majesty sees her as a reliable and capable member of the family.
“You would think that the Queen very much regards Catherine as a safe pair of hands,” he stated.
With Kate’s tenure in the royal family spanning a decade, the Queen has witnessed her dedication firsthand.
Furthermore, her previous years living with Prince William were seen as revolutionary, solidifying her place within the royal circle.
Reflecting on recent tumultuous events within the royal family, including the fallout from the Duke of York’s scandal and the passing of the Duke of Edinburgh, Joe highlighted the trust the Queen has in Kate.
“Given all that has gone on in the past few years…
I think that the Queen has great trust in Kate,” he revealed.
Shedding light on a special distinction bestowed upon the Duchess, Joe explained that a few years ago, the Queen presented Kate with the Royal Family Order.
This honor is exclusively granted to esteemed female members of the royal family who have demonstrated exceptional support for the Queen.
Not every female member receives this recognition, making it all the more significant that Kate has been honored in this way.
The Royal Family Order holds great personal significance, serving as a keepsake rather than a state decoration.
It is a tradition observed in several royal families worldwide, including those of Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Thailand.
The badge itself features a portrait of the reigning monarch delicately painted on ivory, encircled by diamonds, and suspended from a ribbon.
