The royal family has been making headlines once again, as Katie’s daughter and Archie’s peers opt to attend a royal event instead of Meghan Markle’s birthday celebration.
It seems that Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet have not even been invited to family events at the upcoming coronation.
For weeks, there has been speculation about whether the Sussexes would snub an invitation to the King’s big day.
However, it has been revealed that Prince Harry has decided to join the firm and be among the 2,000 other guests at Westminster Abbey on May 6.
In the midst of all this, Meghan Markle has faced criticism for allegedly using Archie’s birthday as an excuse to skip the coronation.
Daily Mirror royal editor Russell Myers spoke to Sky News Australia’s Peter Stefanowicz, stating that it seemed like a convenient way for Meghan to avoid attending the highly anticipated event.
“It was one of the longest-running sagas, but we finally got a decision,” Myers said on Thursday morning.
Interestingly, sources have claimed that Archie’s birthday party may be a deserted affair, as all the famous neighbors and their children have chosen to attend the coronation instead.
Even U.S. singer Katy Perry, who lives on the same Montecito estate as Harry and Meghan, will be performing at the coronation concert at Windsor Castle.
The crowd will include the new king and queen, making it a star-studded event.
The concert, scheduled for May 6, will be broadcast live by the BBC.
Joining Katy Perry on stage will be Andrea Bocelli, who will duet with Welsh opera star Sir Bryn Turtle.
Orlando Bloom and his children will also be in attendance to support Katy, as they are a part of her family.
Interestingly, Katy Perry’s child attends the same private school as Meghan’s child, Crane Country Day School.
Unfortunately, another close friend of Meghan, Serena Williams, will not be able to attend Archie’s birthday celebration due to her work schedule.
She will be participating in the Mutual Madrid Open, a prestigious tennis tournament taking place from April 24 to May 7, 2023.
In a surprising twist, it has been revealed that Archie and Princess Lilibet were not invited to the royal family event at King Charles’s loom in the coronation.
The Daily Beast reported that supporters of Charles argued that including the Sussexes would risk overshadowing the solemn celebrations of the day with family drama.
Amidst all this, Prince Harry’s upcoming book revelations have been making headlines, especially his claims about his stepmother Queen Camilla and brother Prince William.
The royal family has been under pressure to respond, but they have chosen to remain silent on the matter.
Despite evicting the Sussexes from Frogmore, Buckingham Palace has formally invited the non-working royals to the coronation event.
As Meghan Markle decides to skip the coronation, Prince Archie celebrates his fourth birthday back home.
Prince Harry may also be concerned about the negative headlines surrounding his wife.
The royal family continues to captivate the public’s attention with their complex dynamics and ongoing controversies.
