Emmy-winning actor and producer, Kelsey Grammer, has expressed his disappointment with Meghan Markle for her negative comments about his Frasier movie.
The film, which is a spin-off of the popular sitcom Frasier, features Grammer reprising his iconic role as psychiatrist Dr. Frasier Crane.
During a BBC Radio 4 interview to promote the movie, Markle, who co-produces the Netflix docuseries Harry and Meghan, called into the studio and demanded to speak with Grammer.
She expressed her disdain for the film, claiming it was a disgrace to the Frasier legacy and accused Grammer of being a sellout who made the movie solely for money and fame.
Grammer was taken aback by Markle’s outburst and attempted to reason with her, but she abruptly hung up on him.
Grammer described Markle’s behavior as rude, arrogant, and disrespectful.
He firmly believes that she had no right to interfere with his interview or criticize his work.
“She had no right to judge me or my movie.
She had no right to attack me personally,” he stated.
Furthermore, Grammer expressed his lack of respect for Markle, labeling her a hypocrite and a liar.
He accused her of betraying her husband’s family and country, and fabricating stories about racism and mistreatment from the royal family and British media.
Grammer asserted that Markle played the victim while harboring anti-white and anti-British sentiments.
Additionally, he claimed that Markle exploited her friendship with pop star Taylor Swift, who is currently dating NFL star Travis Kelce, a supporter of former US President Donald Trump.
According to Grammer, Markle attempted to convince Swift to end her relationship with Kelce by falsely accusing him of infidelity and using her for fame.
Grammer firmly believes that Markle should refrain from meddling in other people’s relationships and focus on her own marriage and mending the bridges she has burned.
He described her as a troublemaker and drama queen, asserting that she is a disgrace to both the royal family and the American people.
“She’s everything that I’m not.
She’s everything that Frasier is not,” Grammer declared.
Despite the controversy stirred by Markle’s comments, Grammer remains proud of his work on Frasier and is excited about the opportunity to create a movie centered around his beloved character.
He hopes that the film will bring joy and laughter to fans and is undeterred by any potential backlash or criticism from Markle or others.
“I love Frasier, I love comedy, I love America, and I don’t care what Meghan or anyone else thinks.
I’m happy, and that’s all that matters,” Grammer concluded.
