Meghan Markle, the former working member of the royal family, accepted diamond earrings worth £1,990 from a female-founded jewellery business, according to the owners.
The artificial diamond brand, Kimai, sent the jewellery to Meghan in 2019.
During her visit to the charity Smartworks headquarters in London, she wore the brand’s Felicity earrings, which are sold separately for £995.
These earrings, featuring 26 lab-grown diamonds totaling 0.24 carat, hug the curve of the ear and have three dangling diamonds that sway as you move.
The company website even refers to them as Meghan Markle’s favorite Felicity earrings, which certainly turn heads.
Prince Harry recently revealed in his memoir that Meghan would keep freebies sent to her at Kensington Palace and distribute them among her staff, going against the royal family’s usual practice of returning unsolicited gifts.
However, it turns out that only Meghan received these freebies and used them, without sharing them with palace staff.
Despite this, the fact remains that she accepted freebies, which is strongly discouraged within the royal family.
Her actions are seen by many as shameless.
Earlier this month, Kimai’s founders, Sydney Nehouse and Jessica Warch, appeared on Dragon’s Den, where they proudly mentioned Meghan Markle wearing their designs.
Seeking a £250,000 investment for a 3% equity stake in their business, the founders disclosed that Meghan agreed to their deals on the condition that she receive freebies.
It seems these individuals were eager to associate their company with Meghan due to her royal status, even though some find the earrings themselves unappealing.
Meghan’s behavior, accepting freebies while still a working member of the royal family, goes against palace protocol.
Her inclination towards grifting seems deeply ingrained in her personality, as evidenced by previous incidents.
Remember when they accepted a bike for their son in Montecito, despite being able to afford one themselves?
It appears she cannot resist the allure of freebies, driven by her narcissism and belief that she deserves everything simply because she considers herself superior to others.
Unfortunately, individuals like her are all too common.
Perhaps Meghan felt the need to have her own collection of jewels, akin to the Queen.
This desire may explain her actions.
Harry, it seems, does not buy her anything, especially after she changed the engagement ring he designed and continues to wear the Cartier love bracelet from her previous marriage.
Meghan always seemed to be on the lookout for opportunities to acquire freebies.
One notable incident occurred during Charles’ 70th birthday party when the couple was escorted out for unknown reasons.
On her way out, Meghan attempted to take a gift bag intended for Charles, only to have a staff member intervene and retrieve it from her hands.
Her lack of class was evident in this situation.
In summary, Meghan’s days of royalty are long gone, and any instances of grifting that come to light are a result of her actions, not due to complex royal rules, discrimination, or unfair treatment.
This behavior is entirely her own doing.
