King Charles, set to be crowned alongside Queen Consort Camille on May 6th, made a public appearance with his sister, Princess Anne, as they attended the traditional Sunday morning service.
This outing comes after discussions about their upcoming coronation plans.
The brother and sister duo seemed in high spirits as they were photographed on their way to St. Mary Magdalene Church, putting an end to recent reports focusing on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
During their walk to the chapel, King Charles and Princess Anne smiled at royal fans they encountered along the way.
In fact, King Charles even shared a lighthearted moment, cracking a joke with some onlookers.
Their appearance follows claims that the monarch has approached Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Webley, to negotiate with Prince Harry regarding his attendance at the coronation in May.
The question at hand is whether Harry will attend and, if so, under what conditions.
According to a source cited by the Mail on Sunday, the family is divided on this matter.
Negotiations with Harry have proven difficult as he is being advised to remain noncommittal until the last minute.
This approach has made it challenging to reach an agreement.
Following the church service, King Charles received a bouquet of flowers from a well-wisher and took the time to engage with some of his fans.
In another development, Lady Susan Hussey, who resigned amidst a racism controversy, joined King Charles and Princess Anne at the church service in Santigrim.
The 83-year-old was seen smiling after attending St. Magdalene Church on the royal family’s Norfolk estate.
Her resignation came after she made inappropriate comments to Magozi Fulan, a black British domestic violence campaigner, during a Buckingham Palace event in December.
Returning to the issue of Prince Harry’s attendance, it appears that Charles wants his son to be present at the historic event.
He believes that more attention would be drawn to the absence of Harry and Meghan than to their presence at Westminster Abbey in four months.
However, negotiations have been complicated by Harry’s camp making it clear that he will not accept attending the coronation only to be stripped of his titles afterwards.
While he may voluntarily relinquish his titles in the future, he objects to the idea of having them forcibly taken away.
The question now remains: Will Harry and Meghan reconcile with the royal family and attend Charles’ coronation celebration?
Or will they utilize this opportunity for their Netflix content and make a bombshell announcement?
