It has been officially confirmed by Buckingham Palace that King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla will be spending their Christmas at San Ingram in Norfolk.
While it is still unknown which close family members will join them, it is speculated that the prince and princess of Wales will likely be among their guests, bringing about a significant change for the Middleton family.
The upcoming celebrations are expected to bring about structural changes and may see the presence of the younger royals.
This gathering will mark the first time since 2019 that the royal family will spend Christmas at the royal premises, as stated by Buckingham Palace in a brief statement.
Their Majesties, the king and the Queen Consort, accompanied by members of the royal family, will attend the morning service on Christmas Day at San Ingram Church on Sunday, December 25th, 2022.
Joining King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla are expected to be the Prince and Princess of Wales, along with their children, as well as the Earl and Countess of Wessex and their children.
However, it remains uncertain whether Prince Andrew will make an appearance at the festivities.
Traditionally, the Windsors have celebrated Christmas at the 2,000-acre estate, but due to the pandemic, this tradition was halted.
San Ingram holds a special place in the hearts of the royal family.
The late Queen spent two festive periods at the estate, separated from the wider family.
She was joined by the late Duke of Edinburgh during the first of these holiday periods.
The royal Christmas celebrations typically include a morning trip to St. Mary Magdalene Church, where they are greeted by well-wishers, followed by a family lunch featuring turkey.
Continuing in his late mother’s footsteps, King Charles is set to deliver his first Christmas broadcast as monarch.
It is expected that he will reflect on the loss of his mother and her legacy.
The broadcast has already been pre-recorded by Charles.
Traditionally, members of the royal family watch the televised address after Christmas lunch, around 3 p.m.
San Ingram has recently gained attention as the location where Prince Harry, the Queen, Charles, and Prince William were meant to discuss Harry’s future in the family.
The estate has been the private home of British monarchs for over 160 years and now belongs to King Charles.
The late Queen celebrated the eve of her platinum Jubilee there, just seven months before her passing.
The house itself holds sentimental value for the royal family.
It was acquired in 1862 by the Prince of Wales, who later became Edward, as a private county retreat.
In 1870, the house was rebuilt to accommodate his growing family.
King George, the Queen’s grandfather, affectionately referred to it as “dear old San Ingram, the place I love better than anywhere else in the world,” while the Queen’s father wrote, “I’ve always been so happy here, and I love the place.”
In the new Megan Netflix Series, Harry claimed that the crisis talks held at San Ingram created a divide between himself and those in attendance.
He described a terrifying moment when his brother screamed and shouted at him during the meeting.
Now, the question arises: Will Harry and Meghan be allowed to take part in the royal Christmas celebration at San Ingram?
Despite everything they have done, do you think the Sussexes are still planning to return to the royal family?
