The official photos capturing the essence of King Charles’ coronation have been unveiled to the public eye.
However, eagle-eyed viewers have noted the absence of Prince Harry and several other prominent royals from the snapshots.
These four images were snapped at Buckingham Palace immediately after the newly crowned King Charles and Queen Camilla made a grand appearance on the palace balcony, acknowledging the cheering crowds post the historic service held at Westminster Abbey.
Amidst the release of these photographs, King Charles conveyed his gratitude to the nation for their unwavering support towards him and Queen Camilla during this significant event.
He further pledged to recommit himself to a life devoted to serving the people.
The group photo, showcasing the working members of the royal family, captures the royals gleaming with pride as they strike poses in their regal attire.
In the central position of the group shot stand King Charles and Queen Camilla, radiating regal charm, flanked by Princess Anne and her husband, Vice-Admiral Sir Timothy Lawrence.
The ensemble also includes the Duke of Kent, the Duchess of Gloucester, and the Duke of Gloucester.
On the other side, positioned next to Queen Camilla, are the Prince and Princess of Wales, William and Kate, alongside Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, extending a helping hand to 86-year-old Princess Alexandra, and Prince Edward, the Duke of Edinburgh.
Notably, the group photo exclusively features adult members and excludes the younger royals such as Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis, Lady Louise Winstead, and James, Earl of Wessex, who graced the palace balcony post the coronation.
Prince Harry, the King’s youngest son, is notably absent from the snapshot as he swiftly returned to California right after the service, missing the opportune moment for the photo session.
Renowned British photographer Hugo Bernard was behind the lens for these official photos, having previously captured moments at the weddings of Charles and Camilla, as well as William and Kate.
In a heartfelt statement, King Charles expressed his profound gratitude towards everyone who contributed to making the coronation weekend a truly special affair.
As the coronation festivities drew to a close, the King and Queen extended their sincerest thanks to all those who played a part in ensuring the celebrations in London, Windsor, and beyond were joyous and safe.
They particularly acknowledged the individuals who participated in the festivities, be it through street parties, community volunteering, or celebrating from home.
The couple emphasized that the overwhelming support and acts of kindness witnessed during the coronation have been the most cherished gift, inspiring them to rededicate their lives to serving the people of the UK and the Commonwealth realms.
Wrapping up the coronation weekend was the Bank Holiday Monday Big Help Out, designed as a lasting volunteering initiative to commemorate King Charles’ ascension to the throne.
While William and Kate engaged in renovating a scout’s hut in Slough with their children, Edward and Sophie participated in a puppy training session at the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association Training Centre in Reading.
