King Charles is reportedly ready to turn his back on Prince Harry after the younger son’s scathing attack on Queen Camilla.
The monarch, still harboring resentment towards Harry, is said to be deeply angered by the contents of Harry’s sensational memoir, which is set to be published in January.
As King Charles celebrates his 75th birthday, he will receive a phone call from the Duke of Sussex, according to an online BBC report.
However, their conversation is expected to be strained, reflecting the tense relationship between father and son.
Royal author Christopher Anderson claims that Charles easily becomes angry and is fiercely loyal to Queen Camilla.
In an interview with Fox News, Anderson stated, “My feeling is that Charles can so easily turn his back on Harry because Harry committed the one unforgivable sin – Harry dissed Camilla in his book, spare, branding her a villain.
He could have trashed Prince William and the monarchy all he wanted, but King Charles is wildly, blindly devoted to Queen Camilla.”
The strained relationship between the King and his son began when Harry and his wife, Meghan, stepped down as working royals and relocated to America three years ago, seeking personal and financial freedom.
Since then, the Sussexes have given a series of interviews making damaging accusations against the royal family.
Earlier this year, they were asked to vacate their UK home shortly after Harry’s book, Spare, was released.
Reports at the time suggested that the decision was sanctioned by the King, further weakening ties with the royal family and severing their last connection to the UK.
On King Charles’s 75th birthday, he will be engaged in two royal events.
The day will be marked by gun salutes across the capital, but amidst the celebrations, the King will also be focusing on important initiatives.
He will officially launch the Coronation Food Project alongside Queen Camilla, aiming to address the issue of food waste and food need.
The royal couple will visit a surplus food distribution center outside London, where they will meet with staff and volunteers to gain insight into how food waste can be utilized for social good.
Additionally, Charles will host a Buckingham Palace reception to honor the invaluable contributions of nurses and midwives throughout the decades.
This event is part of the NHS 75 celebrations, highlighting the vital role these healthcare professionals play in society.
