King Charles is reportedly eager to have Prince Harry and Meghan Markle join him for Christmas, but he is concerned about the animosity directed towards them by other members of the Royal Family.
According to a royal insider, Charles is particularly anxious about the possibility of private conversations being leaked by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Although Harry and Meghan have expressed their desire to spend the holidays in the UK, it seems unlikely that they will receive an invitation to join the Royal Family at Sandringham this year.
Sources close to Prince William and Princess Kate have even stated that they would prefer not to be in the same room as Harry and Meghan, let alone celebrate Christmas with them.
The insider, speaking to Vanity Fair, revealed that King Charles would love nothing more than to spend Christmas with his sons and all his grandchildren.
However, the situation is far from simple due to the ongoing hostility towards Harry and Meghan, especially from the Prince and Princess of Wales.
Charles is also deeply concerned about the potential risks of private conversations being leaked by the Sussex camp.
As a result, there have been very few interactions between them.
On Christmas Day, the Prince and Princess of Wales are expected to celebrate with the rest of the Royal Family, followed by a second Christmas celebration at Anmer Hall with the Middleton family.
In light of the tensions within the Royal Family, King Charles has made adjustments to the guest list for Sandringham’s Christmas festivities.
While he would undoubtedly cherish the opportunity to have all his family members together, the current circumstances make it incredibly challenging.
The ongoing discord between the Royal Family and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex has created a significant divide, making it difficult for everyone involved.
