Lady Colin has recently criticized Meghan Markle for her alleged distasteful behavior during the funeral procession of Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace.
While King Charles III is expected to officially name Prince Archie III and Princess Lilibet I in the near future, reports suggest that the Sussex children will not be granted HRH (His/Her Royal Highness) status.
This decision has sparked a debate among royal commentators regarding whether it is appropriate considering Harry and Meghan’s departure from prominent roles within the royal family.
During an interview with GB News’ Dan Wooten, Lady C expressed her opinion on the matter.
Dan questioned why Harry and Meghan would want their children to have HRH titles, given their apparent negative feelings towards the institution and Britain as a whole.
Lady C responded by stating that they are opportunistic and driven by money, recognition, and status.
She also highlighted that there is a precedent for grandchildren of a monarch not having the use of prince/princess titles, citing Lord Severn and Lady Louise Windsor as examples.
Lady C further criticized the names chosen for Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, labeling them as tasteless and vulgar.
She argued that it demonstrates a lack of understanding of what it means to be royal, emphasizing that being royal is about serving the British people and the Commonwealth, rather than capitalizing on their position for personal gain.
Regarding the uproar surrounding the titles, Lady C suggested that King Charles should follow the precedent set with the Wessex children and not allow Harry and Meghan’s children to be called prince or princess.
She believes that Harry and Meghan are not more special than the Earl and Countess of Wessex, and their children should not receive special treatment.
The source told The Sun that Harry and Meghan were concerned about the security issue associated with the prince and princess titles, as it grants them certain levels of royal security.
However, due to their status as non-working royals, Archie and Lilibet cannot hold the HRH title.
This has left Harry and Meghan furious, as they had insisted on their children being referred to as prince and princess.
The question arises: should Harry and Meghan be permanently banned from the royal family, as Lady C suggests?
