Lady Louise Windsor, the daughter of Prince Edward and the late Queen Elizabeth, may not have received a change to her royal title like other members of her family, but she seems to be perfectly content with her current status.
As King Charles ascended the throne, her father became the Duke of Edinburgh, her mother assumed the title of the Duchess of Edinburgh, and even her brother, James, transitioned from Viscount of Severn to the Earl of Wessex.
However, Lady Louise Windsor remains just that – Lady Louise Windsor.
Despite the recent flurry of title changes within the Windsor family, Lady Louise does not appear to be upset or bothered by the lack of alteration to her own title.
In fact, she had an opportunity to change it in 2021 when she turned 18, but she chose to keep her original designation.
Her mother, Sophie, explained in an interview with the Sunday Times in 2020 that as one of Queen Elizabeth’s grandchildren, Lady Louise had the option to become Princess Louise, but she decided against it.
It seems that Lady Louise is more focused on her studies than her royal title.
Currently pursuing an English degree at the University of St Andrews, she is following in the footsteps of Prince William, who also attended the same Scottish institution and met his future wife, Kate Middleton, there.
Lady Louise’s dedication to her education suggests that she values personal growth and intellectual pursuits over formal titles and privileges.
Meanwhile, King Charles, who recently underwent surgery for an enlarged prostate, is reportedly recovering well.
The 75-year-old monarch will be taking a break from royal duties for approximately a month while he recuperates.
