Natalie Portman, famous for her portrayal of Padme Amidala in the Star Wars prequel trilogy, recently shared a memorable encounter with King Charles during her appearance on the television show Watch What Happens Live.
The talented actress, who joined the Star Wars universe at the young age of 18 with the release of The Phantom Menace in 1999, fondly recalled an amusing yet awkward question posed by Prince Charles at the film’s premiere.
Natalie humorously explained that during their meeting, the then Prince of Wales asked if she had been part of the original Star Wars movies.
With a chuckle, she had to clarify that she was only 18 years old at the time.
Despite the slight awkwardness, she described the royal as very friendly.
During the show, host Andy Cohen asked Natalie about the attack on Omid Scobie’s book on King Charles.
In response, Natalie Portman hinted that she did not believe the King was discriminatory.
She dismissed the baseless accusations as coming from an unreliable source, merely repeating previous allegations.
Natalie stated, “It’s a reference to Meghan Markle in the Oprah interview.
I don’t think King Charles has any ill will; he’s nice from what I have experienced.”
Scobie, the author of the controversial book, has insisted that he wrote it at lightning speed, despite announcing in July of last year that he was working on a new book about the royal family.
Several months later, in December, he revealed the book’s title, “Endgame.”
This timeline suggests that Omid Scobie had a fast and direct source of information from Meghan’s camp.
Following the Queen’s death, Omid had to postpone the book’s release date to include those additional details.
Rumors have circulated that he met with Meghan in Los Angeles hotels while writing the book.
In a new report, it is suggested that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may not have a place in the royal family when Prince William becomes King.
The future King’s plan for his younger brother and sister-in-law has been revealed.
According to Express UK, the Prince of Wales, King Charles III, has made it clear that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex should not be part of the royal family moving forward.
The source shared, “William is already planning for when he becomes King, and he doesn’t see a future for the Sussexes in the royal family.”
The feeling is that allowing the Sussexes back into the fold would be a bad move, and they should remain on the fringes indefinitely.
William firmly believes that Meghan and Harry should not be welcomed back.
While the King believes that this action would help stop the media circus surrounding the family, William disagrees.
The source elaborated, “William doesn’t think the Sussexes have much more ammunition and have already played their best cards.”
It seems that Charles is the only senior member of the family who holds out hope for a reconciliation, but this may be more due to Harry being his son than anything else.
Senior royals are well aware that Harry and Meghan’s popularity has plummeted since Megxit, and they are concerned that readmitting them could prove catastrophic for the family.
