In the world of media, Doria Braglund, often referred to as a licensed therapist or clinical social worker, is known as Megan’s mother.
However, according to Megan herself in an interview with Glamour, her mom is not only a yoga instructor but also works with the geriatric community.
Contrary to popular belief, Doria was never a licensed social worker.
It wasn’t until July 2015, four years after obtaining her MSW (Master of Social Work) degree, that she received her ASW (Associate Clinical Social Worker) licensure.
Similar to an intern, she could not practice without constant monitoring.
To achieve the LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) designation, Doria had to pass clinical and ethics exams, undergo two years of supervision, and fulfill yearly continuing education requirements.
However, she never obtained the LCSW status, implying that she did not complete these requirements.
Without a supervisor, Doria is unable to practice social work under a license.
This raises suspicions about her ownership of a business providing geriatric care, as she holds an independent license that renders her unable to work as a social worker without supervision in California or anywhere else.
Becoming an independent social worker necessitates thousands of hours of supervised social work experience.
Doria’s temporary license at the master’s level was obtained prior to her involvement with the Unholy Union, as it is commonly known.
Interestingly, although Doria is listed as graduating in 2011, her name appears in the 2012 commencement program for social work.
While she was absent from the 2012 Social Work Graduation Ceremony, her pictures match those found in snippets from the 2011 ceremony.
It is worth noting that 2012 marked the first year USC graduated MSWs who completed their coursework online.
This discrepancy raises questions, considering that these events supposedly occurred before Megan and her partner met.
Furthermore, Doria’s resume indicates that she never worked from home, which is unusual for most professionals who hold licenses.
This adds another layer of suspicion to Doria’s case.
Tom Bauer, a royal author, even claimed in his book that Megan Markle’s mother had a history of drug dealing.
Allegedly, Doria heavily used and sold drugs due to legal constraints.
While Bauer cannot explain Doria’s absence from Megan’s life, it is clear that narcotics continue to play a significant role within the Sussex camp.
According to speculations, Doria Ragland was imprisoned for four to five years on charges of tax evasion related to her ownership of a travel agency.
Governor Jerry Brown granted her release on April 30, 2016, as part of his efforts to reduce overcrowded jails.
With a pardon, criminal records are expunged.
However, there is still no concrete evidence connecting her whereabouts with April 30, 2016.
These rumors may explain why she was largely absent from Megan’s life during childhood, but conflicting claims suggest that they could be unfounded tales.
