In a bid to overshadow King Charles III’s Scottish coronation, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made a seemingly unsuccessful stunt in Montecito.
The Sussexes, who were reportedly snubbed by the royal family during King Charles’ coronation, decided to celebrate the 4th of July in California with their children.
However, their efforts to steal the spotlight fell short.
The couple was captured in photos enjoying family moments with their kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, at a parade on Tuesday, just a day before King Charles’ coronation in Scotland.
Unfortunately for them, their pictures surfaced on social media the following day when King Charles was presented with the Crown of Scotland at St. Charles’ Cathedral in Edinburgh on July 5th.
Despite their attempt to grab attention, they failed to divert media focus from the grand event.
A clip shared by the local hotel, Rosewood Myanmar Beach, days later showcased Meghan, alongside her husband and daughter, waving to passers-by during the 4th of July celebration.
It is worth noting that this luxury five-star hotel is owned by businessman Rick Caruso, who had previously met the couple in May 2020 to discuss charity work and future plans.
According to the Times, Meghan and Harry have also dined at this exclusive hotel, while Meghan’s ex-husband, Trevor, tied the knot there last year.
This pattern of appropriating things, as seen with Princess Catherine’s roast chicken, Prince George’s security name, Princess Charlotte’s baby clothes, and Trevor’s wedding venue, seems to be a recurring theme for Meghan.
She appears to take and taint what she desires, leaving no room for others to have their own special things.
The video shared by the hotel, which boasts 93,000 followers on Instagram, displayed a car driving along the parade route, with its occupants waving to spectators.
Following shots of Meghan, Harry, and Lilibet, the video shifted focus to the BBQ offerings at the hotel’s celebration.
Additional clips showcased the beachfront bar and a massive sign adorned with balloons, reading “USA.”
However, it is worth noting that the Rosewood Miramar hotel was not on the parade route.
The Harkles entered the parade in a pink vehicle, which was captured in the footage.
They were situated at the intersection of San Ysidro Road and Sinaloa Drive, where paparazzi shots were also taken.
Interestingly, Vanity Fair reported in 2020 that Meghan and Harry had been cultivating a close relationship with the hotel owner.
While Meghan and Lilibet happily waved to the parade, Prince Harry engaged in conversations with others within their group.
Previously, Harry was photographed introducing his youngest child to the American holiday, characterized by countless US flags, cheering crowds, and festive gatherings across the nation.
In conclusion, Meghan and Harry’s attempt to overshadow King Charles’ Scottish coronation with their 4th of July celebration fell flat.
Despite their efforts to garner attention, they were unable to divert the media spotlight from the significant royal event.
It seems that their actions continue to generate controversy and raise questions about their intentions and motivations.
