The 2023 Invictus Games came to a close with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry sporting smiles on their faces.
The grand finale, held at the Markus Spiele Arena in Dusseldorf, Germany, featured an electrifying performance by Rita Ora on Saturday, September 16.
However, reports suggest that both Rita Ora and Sam Ryder, the other performer, were dissatisfied with how Meghan and Harry managed the show.
Surprisingly, only one photo of the four of them was published by a tabloid, and neither Rita Ora nor Sam Ryder shared a single picture with Meghan and Harry on their social media accounts.
Rita Ora’s first Instagram story related to Invictus made no mention of the royal couple, and her feigned happiness in the official Getty Picture with them spoke volumes.
Insiders confirmed that both performers had a great rapport with the show’s host, Hadnet Tesfaye.
However, it appears that Hadnet did not receive the same treatment from the Sussexes.
Hadnet Tesfaye, originally from Eritrea and raised in Germany, has been a TV and radio presenter for nearly two decades.
It is disheartening to learn that she faced disrespect from Meghan and Harry, mirroring the way Rita Ora and Sam Ryder were treated.
Interestingly, after the Invictus Games concluded, Hadnet chose not to mention the Sussexes.
Instead, she posted a photo on her Instagram story, expressing discreet gratitude to Rita Ora and Sam Ryder.
There is also evidence suggesting that Hadnet experienced mistreatment from Meghan and Harry on stage.
Remember when Meghan pushed to present the Life Stories segment of the closing ceremony through a series of PR efforts?
Shortly after, Invictus announced that Hadnet Tesfaye, an experienced German TV host, would moderate the segment.
Here’s what unfolded.
On stage, Hadnet interviewed two family members, with the second being Anna Zofia, the daughter of Ukrainian competitor Tara Prasavica, who had been captured by Russian forces and later released.
Hadnet handled the emotionally charged interview with sensitivity, resulting in a significant round of applause.
As she thanked Anna Zofia, Harry abruptly rushed onto the stage and embraced her tightly.
Hadnet appeared startled but quickly composed herself, saying, “Look, oh my god, I was just about to introduce you.
But now that you’re here.”
She then walked off stage with Anna Zofia, exchanging a surprised look with Harry, who was visibly smirking.
Notably, Harry did not mention Hadnet by name, as scripted, effectively preventing her from formally introducing him.
It is likely that Meghan insisted on having this moment, and Harry’s sudden intrusion ensured that Hadnet didn’t have the opportunity.
Furthermore, Harry’s demeanor as he rushed onto the stage seemed aggressive, leaving Hadnet genuinely frightened.
Meghan was evidently upset that she wasn’t the one announcing Harry, and she encouraged him to express his displeasure on her behalf.
Harry’s behavior was perceived as incredibly rude.
Despite Meghan’s attempt to showcase her fashion sense with a strump-less turquoise dress, it fell short of its intended impact.
The rumblings of discontent and complaints behind the scenes, following a series of fashion mishaps and egocentric moments, must be substantial.
It appears that with each misstep, Meghan and Harry are alienating more people.
