In a shocking turn of events, four hair salons in Montecito have recently displayed signs explicitly banning Meghan Markle from entering their establishments.
This comes as Meghan and Prince Harry are being labeled the “relegate royals” of Montecito in a scathing review of the royal family in 2023.
Speaking to Sky News, broadcaster and columnist Esther Cruick provided an inside look into life within the royal family this year.
She highlighted some key events, starting with the publication of Harry’s memoir, “Spare,” which added to the Sussexes’ ongoing complaints about their treatment by the royal family, following the Netflix documentary and the Oprah Winfrey interview.
Cruick also mentioned the South Park episode that mocked the couple’s global privacy tour.
It has undeniably been a rollercoaster year, but Cruick expressed her honor in reporting on the goings-on of the royal family, including the “relegate royals” of Montecito.
The ban on Meghan Markle at local hair salons seems to stem from previous incidents, one of which was revealed by salon owner Hathaway.
According to Hathaway, Meghan had made a last-minute appointment at a luxury salon, requesting a complete hair transformation involving color changes, hair extensions, and curls.
The salon staff accommodated her request by rearranging their schedules and working late.
However, Meghan was dissatisfied with the final results and expressed her complaints loudly and rudely.
She accused the stylist of damaging her hair and demanded a redo.
Despite the stylist’s efforts to resolve the situation, Meghan remained unsatisfied.
The situation escalated when Meghan refused to pay the bill, which amounted to $2,000, citing her royal status and requesting a discount.
A resident of Montecito spoke out, stating that Meghan was never royal in any way and that Prince Harry gave up his minor royal status at her insistence.
The resident claimed that when Meghan didn’t get what she wanted, she took it out on the staff and then the family.
Another local added that there are no royals in the USA, dismissing any claims of royalty.
Adding to the drama, Prince Harry was notably absent from the royal family’s coronation documentary.
According to Cruick, this absence was not surprising, as Harry did not feature in the coronation at all.
She mentioned that he and his wife chose to stay in California, despite his insistence on giving their children the titles of Prince and Princess.
The focus of the documentary was not on Harry but rather on the royal family as a whole.
The ban on Meghan Markle at Montecito hair salons and the labeling of Meghan and Harry as the “relegate royals” of the area have certainly stirred up controversy.
It remains to be seen how this ongoing saga will unfold and what repercussions it may have for the couple’s public image.
