The Rock Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony is typically a night filled with celebration and tribute.
However, for Meghan Markle, it turned into an evening of humiliation and ridicule.
Despite her absence from the event, the Duchess of Sussex became the target of scathing jokes and jabs from two of the inductees, Cheryl Crow and Elton John.
Both artists held nothing back as they expressed their criticism and disdain for the former royal.
Cheryl Crow, who was honored for her solo career, took to the stage to perform some of her greatest hits, including “All I Wanna Do,” “If It Makes You Happy,” and “Soak Up the Sun.”
Before launching into her final song, she addressed the audience and dedicated it to Meghan Markle, sarcastically remarking that she was probably enjoying the sunny weather in California while the rest of them were freezing in New York.
Crow expressed her disappointment, stating that she used to admire Meghan as a strong and independent woman who stood up for her beliefs.
However, she now saw her as a selfish and manipulative liar who had betrayed her family, her country, and her fans.
According to Crow, Meghan was nothing more than a fame-hungry opportunist who cared only about herself.
She concluded her remarks by suggesting that Meghan had burned all her bridges and would never be welcome again.
The crowd erupted in cheers and applause as Crow launched into her song, which seemed to mock Meghan’s lifestyle.
Elton John, who was being inducted for the second time as a solo artist, also took a swipe at Meghan during his acceptance speech.
As a close friend of Princess Diana and a guest at Meghan and Harry’s wedding in 2018, John expressed his disappointment and anger towards the couple’s actions.
He thanked everyone who had supported him throughout his career, except for one person – Meghan Markle.
John described her as a traitor, a pariah, and a disgrace.
He accused her of being a hypocrite, a villain, and a stain on humanity.
According to John, Meghan had personally hurt him by lying to him and using him for her own gain.
He revealed that she had asked him to sing at her wedding, believing she genuinely loved Harry and wanted to be a part of the royal family.
However, John now believed that she had only wanted to exploit his fame and wealth.
He accused her of fabricating stories about racism, mental health, and her family, playing the victim while being the true perpetrator.
John claimed that Meghan had broken not only Harry’s heart but also his own and that of Princess Diana.
He went on to say that she had shattered the royal family, the British people, and the world.
In John’s eyes, Meghan was a disgrace to the crown, the country, the Commonwealth, and humanity itself.
He concluded his speech by performing a medley of his songs, including “I’m Still Standing,” “Rocketman,” and “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road,” which seemed to taunt Meghan and Harry.
The Rock Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony took an unexpected turn as Meghan Markle became the subject of harsh criticism from Cheryl Crow and Elton John.
Both artists used their platform to express their disappointment and anger towards Meghan’s actions.
While the Duchess of Sussex was not present to defend herself, her absence did not shield her from the scathing remarks.
The night ended with a sense of betrayal and animosity towards Meghan, leaving many questioning her motives and character.
