Meghan Markle was captured on previously unseen footage singing and clapping along to Sam Ryder’s performance of ‘Mountain’ at the Invictus Games closing ceremony in Dusseldorf.

The Duchess of Sussex, aged 42, appeared to know the lyrics to the song by the Eurovision star, who took the stage after the seven-day sporting event in Germany concluded on Saturday night.

Sam, a 34-year-old popstar from Essex, shared a clip of his performance on Instagram, where he approached Meghan, who was seated in the front row.

Meghan, wearing a strapless Cult Gaia dress worth £830, enthusiastically danced and sang along with Sam, much to the delight of the crowd.

Sam also expressed his delight at the unexpected duet with Meghan, describing it as an honor and praising the resilience, hope, and courage showcased at the Invictus Games.

Prince Harry and Meghan were in attendance alongside Sam and Rita Ora, who also performed at the closing ceremony.

The royal couple often socialize with celebrities near their home in Montecito, California, and this event was no exception.

Prince Harry, who served in the British Army for ten years and completed two tours in Afghanistan, established the Invictus Games as a Paralympics-style competition for injured, sick, and wounded service personnel and veterans.

The inaugural event took place in 2014.

Rita looked stunning in a glamorous gown as she posed backstage with the royal couple before delivering a high-energy performance of six of her hit songs.

She wore sheer criss-cross tights that showcased her slender legs and added a matching long-sleeve jacket.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are accustomed to mingling with A-list celebrities and have built close relationships with individuals such as Serena Williams, Misha Nonoo, Tyler Perry, and Oprah Winfrey.

They also maintain close ties with Gayle King, Misan Harriman, Sophie Trudeau, Princess Eugenie, and her husband Jack Brooksbank.

Tyler Perry, in particular, has become a close friend since the couple relocated to California, although they first made contact before their wedding in 2018.

During the Invictus Games, Meghan was also spotted singing along to “Sweet Caroline” and dancing in the crowd, showcasing her love for music and her willingness to engage with the event.

The recently surfaced footage of Meghan dancing and singing dates back to her time as an actress in the US legal drama Suits.

The video, filmed in 2012 by co-star Patrick J. Adams and shared on Instagram last week, shows Meghan with fellow Suits cast members and crew, including Rick Hoffman and Patrick’s wife Troian Bellisario.

Patrick, who portrayed Meghan’s character’s husband in the show, has even updated his Instagram profile to reference the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Suits tells the story of Mike Ross, played by Adams, a resourceful law school dropout who cons his way into a prestigious law firm and falls in love with the beautiful paralegal Rachel Zane, played by Markle.

In addition to her dancing skills, Meghan was recently seen dancing to Beyonce during one of the singer’s performances in California.

The couple attended the show at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, joining thousands of fans.

While Meghan clapped and waved her arms in enjoyment, Prince Harry seemed less enthused as he remained focused on his phone.

Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland and her close friend and Suits co-star Abigail Spencer were also present in a private box.

The group, including the Sussexes, adhered to Beyonce’s request to wear silver to match the singer’s outfit for the night.

Doria, who celebrated her 67th birthday on that day, was particularly seen dancing along to the music.
