Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, is rumored to be working on a tell-all memoir following the success of her husband Prince Harry’s controversial book, Spare.
However, experts are cautioning that the timing may not be right for the release of her own memoir.
In 2024, Meghan Markle plans to pen her memoir as part of the four-book deal she and Prince Harry signed with publishers Penguin Random House.
However, Lynne Couratte from Pressbox PR believes that the public has been inundated with stories about the couple, making it an inauspicious time for the launch.
After the release of Spare in January 2023, which made several controversial claims about the Royal Family, the public may have grown weary of hearing about Meghan and Harry.
Lynne Couratte expressed her concerns to the Mirror, stating that people may have had enough of the couple’s revelations from both Spare and Omid Scobie’s book, Endgame.
While Meghan undoubtedly has many things she would like to share and shed light on, Lynne believes that the timing is not right for her memoir.
She may want to discuss her marriage to Harry, her relationship with King Charles and Camilla, as well as with Kate and William.
Fans would also be interested in hearing about her relationship with her father, Thomas, although Meghan has been relatively reserved about that aspect of her life.
In addition to Spare and the rumored memoir, Meghan and Harry’s book deal includes The Bench, a children’s book written by the Duchess and published in 2021.
There is also speculation about a final book, possibly a wellness book, which the couple is said to be working on together.
Lynne suggests that Meghan should consider taking a step back from her association with the Royal Family before publishing her memoir.
Giving it some time would allow her to create distance and ensure that an autobiography becomes relevant in the future.
While there will be a time when the public is ready for Meghan’s personal story, it seems that time is not now.
