Meghan Markle’s podcast, Archetypes, is losing its appeal among American listeners, according to royal expert Kinsey Schofield.
During a discussion on GB News Breakfast, Showbiz reporter Kinsey Schofield revealed that Meghan’s podcast is being surpassed by Kim Kardashian in the Spotify charts.
The decline in interest towards Meghan’s podcast has not gone unnoticed by the American media.
When asked about Meghan’s popularity, Kinsey responded, “I have to be honest with you, if you look at the numbers, her podcast initially gained a lot of attention.
People were very curious.
However, lately, Kim Kardashian has been outperforming her on the Spotify charts.
There seems to be a diminishing interest in Meghan.”
Kinsey further explained that Meghan’s recent shift in tone has been perceived as insincere by some.
She stated, “We were pleasantly surprised that she’s complaining less, but it comes off as insincere because it’s such a drastic change.
Meghan Markle doesn’t seem to understand the difference between a stereotype and an archetype.
She chose archetypes for her Spotify podcast because it aligns with her brand, Archwell.
In her mind, she created the word ‘archetypes’ as a combination of Archwell and stereotypes.
That was her reasoning behind it.”
It took almost two years for Spotify to convince Meghan Markle and Prince Harry to produce content after their holiday special in 2020, which received criticism for its lackluster performance.
So far, Meghan has released seven episodes, covering topics such as ambition, diva, singleton, dragon lady, crazy, the bimbo, and angry black woman.
While Meghan may believe these archetypes are holding women back, society has moved beyond the outdated gender roles of the past.
In another blow to Meghan’s reputation, an expert named Daniela Elsa highlighted the dwindling interest in the couple’s public appearances.
Elsa pointed out that an upcoming event, the Power of Women, organized by the Women’s Fund of Central Indiana, is projected to have a crowd of only around 2,500 people.
This is a significant contrast to a similar event four years ago featuring former First Lady Michelle Obama, which drew a crowd of approximately 13,000.
Writing for news.com.au, Elsa emphasized the disparity in attendance between the two events.
She stated, “The Women’s Fund of Central Indiana has a prestigious history, with Michelle Obama as a previous speaker in 2018.
However, there’s a noticeable difference this time.
Meghan’s event will be held at the Indianapolis Marriott downtown, which has a maximum capacity of 2,500.
In comparison, Michelle Obama’s event took place in an indoor arena and sold out with 13,000 attendees.”
Elsa further criticized Meghan’s event by pointing out that the Water and Sewer Distributors of America, also hosting an event at a Marriott hotel, does not consider Meghan to be a major draw.
Elsa concluded, “Clearly, the expectations regarding Meghan’s crowd size are nowhere near those of Michelle Obama.
Unfortunately, as the saying goes, numbers don’t lie, and it has been a challenging week for Meghan in terms of numbers.”
To illustrate this point, Elsa highlighted a recent YouTube upload from Variety, where Meghan’s front page feature garnered 213,000 views, while a previous front page star, Ana de Armas, received 279,000 views.
These figures further underscore the declining interest in Meghan Markle within the public sphere.
