Photographer Giselle Paschottum has recently sparked speculation about whether Meghan Markle tips off the paparazzi now that she is married to Prince Harry.
During an interview on the Hollywood Raw podcast, Paschottum, who has captured moments of celebrities like Kristen Stewart, the Kardashians, and even the royal family, remained evasive when asked about the matter.
“I’m going to have to say no comment,” he coyly responded.
“You boys interpret that as you wish, but I can’t say it’s a categorical no and I can’t say it’s a definite yes.”
Paschottum also shared insights into how he initially began following the royal couple.
He revealed that after Meghan and Harry’s relationship became official, he promptly flew to Toronto just four days after the news broke.
“On that occasion, I was in Toronto.
The best set I took of Meghan was her going to a forest, and at the forest, she honestly facilitated, she posed up for us,” Paschottum disclosed.
“She smiled at us, me and the other guys I was working with, and we got such a beautiful set of pictures.”
He further added that Meghan even engaged in conversation with them, asking where they were from.
When Paschottum mentioned London, she playfully advised him to ditch his trench coat for a puffer jacket since they were in Toronto.
This isn’t the first time Meghan Markle has faced allegations of orchestrating paparazzi shots.
In 2015, sources claimed that her former PR team arranged such photos to boost her fame in the UK while she was still an actress on the TV show “Suits.”
Approximately a year before meeting Prince Harry, it was reported that her then agent coordinated shots of her entering London restaurants.
“Meghan knew the photographer was going to be at the Kensington restaurant to take photos of her arrival; it was all pre-arranged,” revealed a source to The Sun.
While Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been vocal about their criticism of the British press, a royal photographer who has accompanied them on numerous tours and had several encounters with the Duke of Sussex paints a different picture.
Arthur Edwards, the royal photographer for The Sun since 1975, shared his perspective on Prince Harry’s relationship with the media over time, particularly after his marriage to Meghan Markle.
Edwards recalls that Prince Harry had a positive rapport with the British press, as it provided him with a platform to advocate for causes he deeply cared about, such as the Invictus Games, which he founded for wounded servicemen and women.
“At the end of our trip to Colorado Springs, Harry said, ‘All meet in the pub tonight at 6 o’clock,'” Edwards reminisced.
“We all met at the pub, and he turned up.
We had an hour and a half of exchanging ideas, viewpoints, and there was a lot of laughter as well.
And at the end of it all, Harry picked up the tab.
We did that there, we did that in Australia, we did that in Jamaica, we did that everywhere we went with him.
With Meghan, that all stopped overnight, and I feel sad about that because Harry had a great relationship with the media.
He’s a gifted young man who was so engaging with people.
