Meghan Markle’s former co-star from the TV series Suits, Patrick J. Adams, has expressed regret for sharing private behind-the-scenes photos of the Duchess on set.
He acknowledged that his actions were a distraction from the ongoing actors’ strike and described it as an embarrassing oversight.
Patrick, who played Meghan’s love interest on the show, caused a stir among fans when he posted several intimate pictures of her during their time working together.
However, he later deleted them after they quickly spread across the internet.
The 42-year-old actor has now explained that he removed the photos because he felt it was inappropriate given the current battle between SAG-AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists) and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers.
In a message shared on his Instagram Stories, Patrick issued an apology for his thoughtless behavior and admitted that he allowed nostalgia for Suits to distract him from the important fight for fair compensation and protection for actors.
He expressed gratitude to those who gently corrected him and pledged to continue supporting the cause.
Earlier this week, Patrick shared a series of throwback behind-the-scenes images featuring Meghan and other Suits stars with the caption “I miss my friends.”
The photos included a black-and-white portrait of Meghan looking directly at the camera and another of her lying on the floor alongside co-star Sarah Rafferty.
He later posted more photos, indicating that he intended to share even more.
However, his initial posts sparked excitement among fans who speculated about a possible Suits reunion or comeback.
While some people may have been upset by Patrick’s decision to share the photos during the actors’ strike, many Instagram users were captivated by the behind-the-scenes glimpse into the show and the new images of Meghan.
Some even saw it as a hint of the show’s return.
It is worth noting that on the SAG-AFTRA Strike’s website, members are advised not to promote struck work or companies through photos, videos, or social media posts, including past projects.
The website emphasizes the importance of solidarity among actors to secure fair contracts and encourages them to support each other’s projects in the future.
Patrick’s apology and acknowledgment of his mistake demonstrate his commitment to the ongoing fight for better conditions within the entertainment industry.
