Meghan Markle has reportedly set a condition for her potential return to the UK, as suggested by an expert.
Since relocating to the United States in 2020, Meghan has made limited visits back to Britain, with her most recent trip occurring in 2022.
Recent reports indicate that Meghan has informed Prince Harry that she will only consider returning if they have their own place to stay and adequate security measures in place.
Renowned royal expert and author Tom Quinn shared insights with the Mirror, stating that Meghan has expressed her willingness to come back to England only if she and Harry have a secure residence and the necessary security arrangements that they deem essential.
Quinn emphasized that Meghan is not inclined to stay with Harry’s relatives during any future visits.
He further mentioned that once the couple establishes a permanent home and resolves the security concerns, they may contemplate bringing their children to the UK.
However, Quinn highlighted the need for diplomatic efforts to foster a genuine and warm relationship between Archie, Lily, and their cousins George, Charlotte, and Louis.
Quinn’s remarks come in the wake of Harry’s recent legal victory, allowing him to appeal against the High Court’s decision regarding the adequacy of protection provided to him and his family in Britain.
Following the loss of full taxpayer-funded police protection in 2020, Meghan and Harry were also required to vacate Frogmore Cottage last June, leaving them without an official residence in the UK.
In a separate development, Meghan Markle faced criticism for allegedly attempting to overshadow Princess Kate’s return to royal duties at Trooping the Colour.
Kate, who had been away from the public eye due to her cancer diagnosis, made a triumphant comeback recently.
Reports surfaced that Argentine polo player Nacho Figueras, a friend of Meghan and Harry, posted photos of Meghan’s new product line on Instagram just as Kate was preparing to attend a public event.
Some media outlets insinuated that Meghan and Figueras were trying to divert attention from Kate’s well-received return.
Meghan’s latest venture, American Riviera Orchard (ARO), unveiled new products shortly before Kate’s public appearance.
Figueras showcased Meghan’s offerings on his social media, hinting at the inclusion of dog treats in ARO’s lineup.
The strategic timing of these posts raised eyebrows, with Meghan’s branding efforts drawing comparisons to domestic lifestyle icons like Nigella Lawson and Martha Stewart.
Despite the anticipation surrounding Meghan’s brand launch, delays have fueled speculation about staffing challenges.
Marketing expert Professor Pauline McLaren noted Meghan’s shift towards a domestic goddess image and her potential appeal to a broader consumer base.
While some question the delay in the official launch, branding specialist Abessi Maniando highlighted Meghan’s growing global popularity, particularly in the US and Africa, underscoring her enduring relevance as a public figure.
