Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have announced their collaboration on four new projects, including a film, according to Netflix.
Bela Bajaria, the chief content officer at Netflix, revealed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are currently working on multiple projects for the streaming platform.
These include a film, two unscripted projects, and potentially more content in the coming year.
While Bajaria did not provide specific details about the projects, it is speculated that one of the unscripted projects could be a documentary.
Last year, the couple acquired the rights to the novel “Meet Me at the Lake” by Carly Fortune, which is set in Toronto.
It is believed that the new film may be an adaptation of this book.
In recent news, a source close to the couple’s staff has revealed that Meghan has encouraged Harry to return to England with her for filming.
The plan involves staging a scene where they visit King Charles and his sister-in-law, Princess Catherine.
This aligns with their previous announcement that 2023 would be a year of reconciliation and 2024 a year of redemption, which serves as the theme for their new Netflix movie.
According to the source, there will be no film crew following them, but they will utilize state-of-the-art recording equipment to secretly capture the family meeting.
Harry has already begun making arrangements with the palace, contacting them a month in advance to ensure security and accommodation.
A recent poll conducted on this matter had a total of 2,519 participants, with approximately 1,936 expressing their belief that Harry should not return to England.
Many took to the comments section to voice their thoughts, with some criticizing Meghan’s career for being all talk and no action.
Critics argue that Meghan lacks talent and should leave show business to those who possess it.
They view the upcoming film as a waste of time and money for the general population, suggesting that Meghan should go home and stay there.
Meghan and Harry signed their Netflix deal in September 2020, with the intention of creating various types of content for the platform, including documentaries, docu-series, feature films, scripted shows, and children’s shows.
Their first docu-series, “Harry and Meghan,” was released in December 2022, offering viewers an intimate look into their new life in California after stepping down as senior members of the royal family.
They also executive-produced the docu-series “Live to Lead,” which highlighted influential figures such as Jacinda Ardern, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Greta Thunberg, Gloria Steinem, and Brian Stevenson.
Additionally, their documentary “Heart of Invictus,” which follows athletes preparing for the Invictus Games founded by Harry, premiered on Netflix in August.
As the couple continues their collaboration with Netflix, fans and critics alike eagerly await the release of their upcoming projects, including the highly anticipated film.
