During their current visit to Australia, Mike Tindall’s cryptic comment has left Royal Watchers speculating about the potential of the Tindall family starting a new life in the country.
The couple traveled to Australia following their attendance at the Magic Millions Carnival and the Magic Millions Racing Achievement Awards on the Gold Coast last Saturday, January 6.
Zara, who is a patron of Magic Millions, an Australian thoroughbred racehorse auction house, regularly attends events throughout the year, including the famous Gold Coast Yearling Sale at Surfer’s Paradise in January.
Despite their busy schedule, the couple managed to find some time to relax and enjoy their favorite destination, as pictures surfaced of them happily splashing around in the summer surf.
Last February, at the Legends of Rugby Awards, Mike hinted that a permanent move to Australia was not completely off the table.
In an interview with Hello!
Magazine, he expressed his fondness for Australia and its lifestyle, stating that it would be an excellent place to raise their children.
However, he also mentioned that they were unsure if they could actually make the move, as they have never actively searched for a house or made concrete plans.
The couple’s love for Australia is evident, but whether they will eventually relocate remains uncertain.
The Tindalls were thrilled to be back at the Carnival, especially after not being able to attend for the past two years due to travel restrictions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Mike expressed his joy at taking a break from the gloomy January weather in the UK and reuniting with friends.
Zara, on the other hand, described the event as a homecoming, emphasizing the close-knit nature of the Magic Millions community.
The professional equestrian even participated in a game of polo at the Carnival, where they were joined by fellow celebrities Chris Hemsworth and his wife Elsa Pataky.
Australia holds a special place in the hearts of Mike and Zara, as it is where they first met in 2003 during the World Cup when Mike was playing for the England rugby team.
After almost eight years of dating, the couple tied the knot in Edinburgh in July 2011.
Since then, they have welcomed three children together – daughters Mia and Lena, and son Lucas.
