In a shocking turn of events, Omid Scobie, the biographer of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, finds himself in seclusion in Los Angeles, with his career in ruins.
What was supposed to be a dream project has quickly turned into a royal nightmare for him.
Recent reports suggest that Scobie plans to disappear in the new year due to the negative attention he has received for his tell-all book about the royals, titled “Endgame.”
As avid followers of the royal family may already know, Scobie’s book revealed the names of two individuals allegedly involved in discriminatory behavior within the royal household.
In the Dutch translation of “Endgame,” Scobie claims that the inclusion of these names was accidental, but the damage had already been done.
King Charles, in particular, was far from pleased to hear that Meghan Markle had accused her husband’s family members of showing excessive concern over the potential darkness of their son Archie’s skin color during her pregnancy in 2019.
Due to the controversial content of his book, which also includes his thoughts on Prince William’s anger issues and his perception of Kate Middleton as a Stepford wife, Scobie has decided to pack his bags and relocate to Los Angeles for the time being.
Angela Levin, a close source to the Sussexes, revealed in an interview with GB News that Scobie is now residing in Los Angeles and seems unfazed by the strained relationship with the royal family.
She further stated that he intends to continue fabricating stories, a practice he has engaged in for quite some time.
Levin also mentioned that Scobie will no longer write about the royals, as they have barred him from the royal rota and prefer to keep their distance from him.
Understandably, they do not want someone who has utilized his book to spread negativity about them in their midst.
With his career in shambles and no job prospects, Scobie finds himself in a state of seclusion, having burned bridges with the royal family.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were already facing financial challenges when Scobie’s alleged friend worsened matters by publishing his book.
Royal expert and author Gareth Russell, speaking on GB News, highlighted that the release of the explosive book came at an unfortunate time for the couple.
Referring to an article in the Hollywood Reporter that labeled Harry and Meghan as two of the biggest losers in Hollywood, Russell emphasized the detrimental impact it had on their reputation.
Being associated with such a negative title within the showbiz industry certainly did not help generate interest, support, or donations for their charitable endeavors.
Russell further added that the timing of “Endgame” was particularly unfavorable for the couple.
He believed it would have been in their best interest to shift away from the narrative, as they only seem to make headlines when directly or indirectly attacking the royal family.
It is evident that this strategy is failing to garner public sympathy for them.
