Palace aides are reportedly in a frenzy as they search for a way to prevent the release of Prince Harry’s highly anticipated tell-all memoir, while King Charles III takes steps to establish his reign.
The Daily Mail has revealed that concerned staff members have already engaged in discussions on how to stop the book from hitting the shelves early next year.
A close friend of the King shared, “The question inside the palace is, can the book be stopped?
It may be that even Harry can’t prevent its publication at this stage, but those at the very top believe that airing grievances in public can only lead to trouble.”
Speculation had already been circulating that the memoir might face delays following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II on September 8th.
It was suggested that out of respect, Prince Harry may choose to edit out some of his more controversial comments.
Additionally, many media outlets have hinted that the Prince is toning down the content of his memoir following his grandmother’s death and his father’s subsequent ascension to the throne.
Prince Harry has received a warning that his controversial memoir could potentially backfire on the Sussexes.
Grant Harrolds, the Duke of Sussex’s former royal butler, urged him to reconsider publishing the book.
Speaking on GB News, Harrolds stated that the memoir would be a disaster for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Royal commentator Kinsey Schofield echoed this sentiment, suggesting that the memoir might have negative repercussions for the Duke of Sussex.
Miss Schofield further emphasized that Harry and Meghan still pose a liability to the royal family.
Harrolds added that Harry’s relationship with the royals has already suffered significant damage and that a U-turn is necessary.
He asserted, “They can’t simply make one public appearance and expect everything to be fine again.
A book like this would be disastrous for them.
They need to consider these factors if they want to find a way back in.”
During the GB News program, host Patrick Christies questioned whether there was still time for Prince Harry to make changes to his memoir.
He wondered if Harry was aware that he had made a misstep.
In response, Miss Schofield noted that if the book was intended for a November release, it would likely already be in the printing process, making any revisions impossible.
She also revealed that the Palace is preparing for how to handle the fallout from the memoir, as it coincides with the release of Season Five of “The Crown.”
The Palace anticipates a wave of negative attention in November and believes that Prince Harry should not add to the chaos at the beginning of King Charles’ reign.
Meanwhile, King Charles III is reportedly waiting to determine Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s future within the royal family until he sees where their priorities lie.
Royal expert and commentator Jonathan Sacerdote stated, “The royal family has experienced similar situations before, such as with Charles and Diana.
Both sides made allegations of leaking information to the press in order to play out their grievances publicly.
It would be completely understandable if the king decides to wait until these major unknowns become clearer.
Once the book and the Netflix production are released, he can then make an informed decision.
