Currently, Princess Kate is recovering in the hospital after undergoing planned abdominal surgery last week.
As a result, Prince William has taken on the responsibility of caring for their children.
However, he is not doing it alone.
Alongside their grandmother, Carol Middleton, Pippa Middleton, Princess Kate’s younger sister, has also stepped in to help look after George, Charlotte, and Louis.
It’s worth noting that both families reside in close proximity, with William, Kate, and their children living in Windsor, while Pippa and her family are based in Berkshire.
In an interview with Hello!
magazine, Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine, shared her insights.
She mentioned that although Pippa now has her own children, she is likely offering to have her niece and nephews over for tea and other activities.
Pippa and her husband, James Matthews, have three children of their own: Arthur (6), Grace (2), and Rose (1).
Additionally, Seward highlighted the hands-on nature of Carol Middleton as a grandmother, stating that she often picks up the kids.
The Middletons are known for their close-knit family ties, and their support during this challenging time is invaluable.
Prince William, typically dedicated to his royal duties, has made the exceptional decision to cancel engagements in light of his wife’s health.
Seward emphasized the significance of family, especially in such circumstances.
She commended William’s unwavering support as a husband, noting that it is unusual for him to cancel engagements due to his wife’s illness.
However, he prioritizes his family above all else, making him a modern and devoted man.
Kensington Palace released a statement regarding Princess Kate’s hospitalization, indicating that she would remain there for a period of 10 to 14 days.
The statement also mentioned that her return to public duties would likely be after Easter.
While the palace did not disclose the specific nature of her condition, it has been confirmed to be non-cancerous.
Once discharged, Kate will continue her recovery at home in Windsor alongside William and their three children.
