In a heartwarming moment captured in the spirit of the holiday season, the beloved Prince and Princess of Wales have recently delighted fans by unveiling their Christmas portrait.
This year, the royal family will be celebrating Christmas in two different locations – Sanderham with the royals and at the Middleton home.
The festive season promises to be a joyous occasion for Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis as they join their grandfather, the King, for a traditional royal Christmas.
The celebrations will include attending a church service and receiving presents on Christmas Eve.
Furthermore, they will have an intimate Christmas morning with their parents and a fun-filled, informal Christmas with the Middletons.
Carol Middleton, the mother of the Princess of Wales, has revealed some of her plans for Christmas this year.
And the young royals are in for a treat.
Carol received special assistance from her three beloved grandchildren in adorning the Middleton family Christmas tree at her mansion, known for its impeccable taste.
She previously mentioned her love for having multiple Christmas trees in her home, including one in the grandchildren’s room that they can decorate themselves.
Sharing an image of a light-up tree topper on her Instagram account, Carol expressed her excitement for this year’s festivities.
She said, “Once again, we plan to have two Christmas trees.
One for the children to decorate and one which I will do myself.
What really matters is that my family feels connected.
I will ask them via video call to decide which decoration should go where.
It may need to be tastefully rearranged later.”
The youngest royal, Prince Louis, added his own charm to the occasion by gleefully exploring the glittering ornaments and sparkling lights.
As the royal family worked together, the atmosphere transformed into a winter wonderland.
Grandma Carol and her grandchildren once again shared a glimpse into their private world, allowing the public to share in the warmth and love that defines their bond with the Middleton side of the family.
This isn’t the first time Carol has shared a holiday tradition.
The doting grandmother also plans to bring laughter to her grandchildren with a few novelty Christmas decorations, including a pair of festive Nordic gnomes.
She wrote on Instagram, “I’m going to need a few of these cheeky chaps this December to hide around the house and make my grandchildren laugh.
As much as I love immaculate decorations, we can’t be too serious at Christmas.”
Carol Middleton is known to be a normalizing influence on her grandchildren, helping to keep their upbringing grounded despite their unusual and privileged circumstances.
According to royal commentator Catherine Mitchell, William and Catherine’s ability to lead ordinary lives is partly due to the presence of the Middletons.
Carol and her husband, Michael, help to keep things relaxed and have been a great help with the growing brood.
Carol is a regular visitor to Kensington Palace, driving through the gates in her Land Rover.
Her familiarity with the staff and lack of security is a testament to how well-known and loved she is.
She is definitely a hands-on grandma and spends as much time as possible with her grandchildren, including Catherine and Pippa.
In fact, Carol’s dedication to her grandchildren goes beyond spending time with them.
She has taken on the role of a de facto nanny and has even made arrangements to divide up duties with the royal nanny, Maria Borallo.
It is evident that Carol’s close bond with George, Charlotte, and Louis has allowed them to build a special and strong family connection.
Yesterday, Kensington Palace released a candid behind-the-scenes video of Princess Catherine volunteering at her local baby bank in November, accompanied by her three children.
In the touching video, they can be seen carrying large cardboard boxes filled with books and toys.
The princess explains to her children the importance of giving back, saying, “Here, there are lots of people who give up their time, and there are a lot of volunteers who come and help out.
