Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, was seen in tears during Queen Elizabeth’s funeral procession in Westminster Hall.
Alongside his brother King Charles III and sister Princess Anne, he arrived behind a Royal Navy state gun carriage carrying the Queen’s casket.
In the middle of the procession, Prince Andrew appeared to bite his lip, unable to hold back his emotions.
This emotional display follows a statement released by the Duke of York regarding his feelings after the Queen’s passing.
The Duke of York joined other members of the Firm and the Royal Household at Westminster Hall to accompany the Queen’s coffin to Westminster Abbey.
Following behind the Royal Navy state gun carriage, he followed the lead of his elder brother, King Charles III.
Prince Andrew’s pained expression was evident as he walked alongside his siblings and ahead of Prince Harry, his eyes fixed on the coffin.
Despite being stripped of many military titles, Prince Andrew wore his military medals on his chest as a tribute to his service in the Falklands War.
During the funeral service, as the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, began speaking, Prince Andrew bowed his head in quiet reflection.
Known for his close relationship with his mother, the Duke of York had been regularly visiting Queen Elizabeth at Windsor Castle in her final months.
Just hours before the funeral, he expressed his love for the late Sovereign in a heartfelt message.
In the statement, dated September 18th, Prince Andrew referred to the Queen as “Dear Mummy, Mother, Your Majesty,” acknowledging her devotion and service to the nation.
The question arises: Is Prince Andrew truly remorseful for his past actions as he bids his final farewell to the Queen?
