Prince William and Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, recently welcomed a new addition to their family.
Last year, they sadly lost their beloved family dog, Lupo, and shared the news on social media.
However, it seems that Kate’s brother, James Middleton, has come to the rescue by gifting them a new puppy.
According to reports, Prince George and Princess Charlotte had the opportunity to select the new puppy from a litter before making their decision.
The black puppy, who is Lupo’s nephew, was given to the family as a gift shortly before Lupo’s passing.
James and his fiancĂ©e Alize Thevenet stayed with their pattern in Berkshire, where Lupo’s sister bred a litter of six puppies last summer.
The couple even shared an adorable photo of the litter on Instagram.
The new puppy has settled comfortably into the Cambridges’ home at Anmer Hall, where they have been residing during the pandemic.
James has been breeding puppies since 2011 and previously gave Lupo to Kate when Prince William was deployed to the Falklands.
Lupo played a significant role in helping Kate cope with the challenges of being apart from her husband during the early years of their marriage.
It is evident that the entire family is smitten with the new addition.
A friend revealed to the Mail on Sunday that the puppy is simply adorable, and the whole family is besotted.
After the loss of Lupo, they were devastated, as any dog owner would understand.
However, this new puppy brings them joy and companionship.
It was hoped that the younger dog would provide Lupo with some company and inject more life and energy into his days.
Lupo was not just a cherished pet but also played a special role in the family.
